Moderate liberals like Curtis Yarvin lmao
We are moderate liberals, and our books contain moderate liberal ideas.
Data Republican, Curtis Yarvin, Nick Land, Martin Sellner, Steve Sailer, Paul Gottfried, John Derbyshire, Justin Lee, Taki, and the rest of our authors are moderate liberals.
Is publishing the original text of The Hardy Boys radical?
The Internet has been out all day and now I'm reduced to watching broadcast TV like I'm some pleb from 1996.
Why are you attacking AES supporters like Stevens? Do you want Mike Rogers to win?
It's pretty sad how far Mehdi has fallen. I don't think I can consider him a serious journalist after the way he has been acting this cycle. Just constant obfuscation and obvious dodging of points. He should be treated as a hostile actor with a malign agenda.
“Former statewide incumbents” is the phrase I used to Yglesias which you professed not to hear and/or understand. You’re a bad faith actor. Comparing a guy who was a two term governor of his state to a guy who has never served in any, let alone statewide, office and asking why aren’t they equally popular is disingenuous, dumb, or both.

NYT/Philadelphia Inquirer/Siena House polling of PA this morning. The tie in PA-10 is good for Rs -- the others are good for Ds.
It is even more barbaric and unjustifiable with this context!
For those of you who are still being mislead by the fake news of the execution in Saudi.
Here is what really happened. Now judge it yourself.
Nazrul Islam and Sithi Akter, two Bangladeshi nationals employed as cleaning workers for the Bin Laden Group in Mecca, became romantically involved while commuting to work. Nazrul lived in a residential villa in Hayyal Iskan, while Sithi resided in Batha Kuraysh.
In May 2023, the two engaged in illicit relations in a secluded stairwell room between Gates 85 and 87 of Masjidul Haram. Nazrul had asked an Indian acquaintance to stand guard downstairs, but the friend secretly recorded the encounter on video.
Later, when the Indian national attempted to make advances toward Sithi and was rejected, he leaked the video online.
The video quickly went viral, prompting immediate intervention by Saudi authorities, who successfully apprehended all three individuals.
The Indian national received a 20-year prison sentence for recording and distributing the footage.
Nazrul Islam and Sithi Akter were detained immediately following their arrest in May 2023.
Nazrul had originally arrived in Saudi Arabia from Bangladesh between November 10 and 13, 2022. Following his arrest in May 2023, he remained incarcerated throughout a lengthy three-and-a-half to four-year judicial process leading up to October 2026.
Throughout this period, official protocol dictated that the Saudi government notify the employer (sponsor) rather than foreign government authorities.
Various rumors circulated online falsely claiming that the individuals were pilgrims performing Umrah or that the charges stemmed merely from public displays of affection.
While the defendants were unmarried, the severity of the legal outcome was not solely based on the act of zina (adultery). Because the offense took place within the sacred precincts of Masjidul Haram, the court determined that they had severely violated the sanctity and honor of Islam's holiest mosque.
Consequently, senior judges of the Supreme Court handed down the death penalty as an exemplary punishment aligned with Quranic principles and the Sunnah.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Saudi confirmed Oct 14 2026 execution of Nazrul Islam and Siti Akhtar for indecent act in Mecca mosque. Official statements lack post's details of video by Indian, gates 85-87 or May 2023. Consulate: Aug 2023 detention. Narrative is unverified viral claim.

It’s easy to hate cops. But do you have the courage to hate firefighters?
In 2005 San Francisco firefighter unions successfully pushed a proposition making it illegal to close or consolidate existing firehouses. It even prevents any apparatus from being changed. Despite some firehouses receiving < 3 calls a day. (not a typo)
Since then working fires have fallen 36% (309 to 197) as medical calls increased by far more.
More than a third fewer working fires. But each engine and tiller is a protected species (plus crew & exact role) and cannot ever be replaced with say, 3 ambulances and crews at ~same cost.
Meanwhile you still need an ambulance for transport. Which is going to be a while because as noted in an audit they cannot “add additional ambulance shifts by re-assigning existing resources from fire”.
But at least 5 guys in turnout gear can babysit with the $2.5M truck their medical kits are in.
REITERATING!!!!

This race being close may directly cost us one of our stretch goals in like SC MS or NE. Even if he wins selecting AES was a disaster that diverted massive amounts of resources from more competitive races. People who pushed his candidacy should be ashamed of themselves.
The absolute state of MTG where Lifegift is almost 60 bucks lmao.

aurora borealis? at this time of year? in this part of the country? localized entirely within your kitchen?
I'm pretty sure I remember hearing about the 1996 election on the radio, specifically something about Bob Dole, but if we are talking about concrete things it's NATO intervention in Kosovo. I remember a lot about 2000 too.
I never in a million years though that I would get "affordable to whomst?"-ed about a 20 dollar 30 rack of beer.
Replying to @PhillyGov @mindyisser
A case of beers priced at 60 cents each and being able to go in the store and buy a 60 cent beer is not the same thing. That one case of beer is 20$ maybe some can’t afford that

Getting to this benchmark despite the negligence of Harrisburg is remarkable! Scott Sauer has made the most of a very challenging situation and should be applauded, and City Council should reward this good work with letting more people live near SEPTA! inquirer.com/transportation/…
