All I'm going to say about the ao3 discourse is if you have no basic respect for fic authors I expect you to not consume fics ever again because wdym you hate them so much yet still consume their free labour? Authors are artists too. You simply see them as lesser.

people who don't contribute anything to the fandom (don't create artwork, fics, or support writers and artists) do not deserve to have an opinion on how the work is shared, and at this point don't even deserve the access to any of it. this will kill all fandoms.
