75% of truck owner tow once a year or less. For the rest of the time the Slate truck will easily work for the average American driving less than 38 miles per day. For those that need more seating, there's the SUV package. We had multiple two door Blazers growing up with four. 🤷♂️

Is it based on the vehicle (bigger battery = larger deposit), or is it for everyone? Based on battery size would make sense, otherwise it seems astronomical.

"How was the charger?"
Now you can answer from your wrist: Worked, Slow or Broken.
Petty feedback has never been this convenient.

Android Automotive drivers: your car is a four-camera film studio and you've been leaving the footage on the cutting room floor.
PlugCam fixes that. Beta now.

For a weekend of camping it could work "ok" if you're just sitting at a campsite and it's nice out. Also, pretty sure you can hook up more than one panel, in series or parallel.

Maybe even build a towable setup with all-terrain wheels with fold-out panels. Something like that would have minimal wind resistance.

There are better - and more cost effective - setups than Jackery, too.
You could build a setup that keeps solar panels on the roof charging the pack during the day and then discharging while charging the R2 at night.
It would take a bit to get where you're going though.

The funny thing is, the range is really UNLIMITED vs a gas car. All you need is a Jackery, Bluetti, or other storage with some solar panels. It may take a bit longer, but when your gas is gone, it's gone.

At this point, you’re not “a real car guy” if you aren’t at least curious about EVs.
James May, Jay Leno, Richard Hammond, Lewis Hamilton, all daily drive them. They can have any car they want. There’s a reason for this.

Funny seeing all of the people complaining about how small the bed is.
A typical crew cab truck today has a 5.5' bed and the @slateauto truck has a 5' bed.
That's a whole 6" different guys, stop pretending that makes it unusable or "nOt A tRuCk". 🙄
