Sad news indeed. They screwed him over cutting some of his work from VI but he had a great career. Not many actors who will pass knowing they will genuinely be loved forever.
He did look frail in the last documentary but still, another light goes out.

This is the official map of Scottish territorial waters according to UNCLOS (United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea). There is therefore no discussion or debate to be had, Jackdaw & Rosebank are very firmly in Scottish waters according to international law.

There was a time when Scottish Conservatives at least pretended to stand up for Scottish interests. The current cohort could be told the British were going to shit on their cornflakes every morning and they would proudly tell us all it was the right decision as they crunch down.
Today’s BBC Scotland announcements are difficult, especially for the staff affected.
But these are the right decisions.
The way people watch TV has changed. The BBC has to respond to that reality.
It needs to spend licence fee payers’ money wisely, focus on quality journalism and programming, and stay relevant in Scotland.
Keeping services going simply because they’ve always existed isn’t sensible.
Difficult, yes, but necessary for a strong BBC.
The absolute clownshoe who designed and planned the road works at Livingston needs strung up by their short and curlies and flogged with their own intestines. What should have been a 15 minute trip to Screwfix became a 45 minute adventure round Livingston twice.
For reference, this was 2018
SNP had such talent at their disposal with a membership of over 100k people. They squandered it all on virtue signalling and gender woo.
People were enthused and looking to get involved but found branch structures incapable of coping with the influx
Fun fact, North Lanarkshire, described today by Andy Burnham as the "true North" is actually in the south of Scotland technically speaking. Just another patronising English Prime Minister coming to visit the colonies and throw out some scraps from the table.

Colin MacKay from STV asked a good question at Burnham's press conference. After Burnham's speech all about his vision for reindustrialisation in Scotland, Colin asked, what about now? What about offshore oil and the unused £200 million for Grangemouth? It gets a long waffle.
Number of replies on what was a pretty innocuous post from seeing Visionquest and James Spader murdering the name of our capital city is quite hilarious. They really don't like being told they're wrong about anything
Why are there so many barriers for women going back to work after raising a child? Hard enough to get an interview never mind a job offer, then they hound you for "evidence to support your employment gap". Why isn't "I had a baby" enough? And that's IF you get a job in your field
If Andy Burnham wants to decide how devolution in Scotland works all he has to do is put it in a manifesto and win an election at Holyrood. I happen to agree there should be greater decentralisation of power, but not that it should be imposed by a PM who hasn't won an election.
I feel sorry for the parents of the young man who was mauled both by a tiger and by an uncaring and judgmental “society” of online commenters. They raised him, fed him, loved him and they had to watch his final moments be mocked and ridiculed. We seem to have lost our empathy.
I can't believe some fucking idiot put a COMMUNITY NOTE on a post that was CLEARLY meant as sarcasm. This is all that's wrong with the world and especially this platform. It was a joke!!
Have we considered the possibility that Zelensky and Ukraine started the war with Russia specifically to sabotage President Trump and the GOP’s 2026 midterm hopes?
I feel like we can’t rule this out.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Russia occupied Crimea in 2014 and launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022. Zelenskyy took office in 2019. The war predates 2026 midterms by years.
