Attention horror artists! An artist I'd commissioned for interior illustrations for an upcoming book has suddenly canceled and I find myself in need of someone who can create, within a period of several weeks, seven black and white horror artworks for use in a book. Pen and ink, digital, or other media are all acceptable. Please contact me either here or through the @PolymathPress1 website to discuss details if you're interested. To speed things along, please link me to some samples or a portfolio and let me know your rates and estimated turnaround time for seven illustrations. And of course because I need to fill this job quickly, anyone not selected for this will be considered for future commissions as well.

The latest Do You Like Scary Movies podcast is now online. Learn all about an exciting brand new novel called Ghost Girls and Rabbits by Cassondra Windwalker, coming out May 5 from Polymath Press. Give it a listen wherever you like to get your podcasts.

Yeah, this checks out. To be fair, I also need a workshop and the kitchen could probably be a bit bigger, though, but that's just because I have a big section of cookbooks in the library.

One of my books is in a competition today. If anyone happens to be in the Books of Horror group on that site that starts with "F," my Arithmophobia anthology is in today's "Short Smack" bracket. Any votes are appreciated!

"A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, design a building, conn a ship, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve an equation, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects." -Robert A. Heinlein

Best of luck to all the folks participating in #PitDark this time around. @PolymathPress1 and I aren’t participating because we’re still buried in submissions, but I wish everyone luck in finding homes for their novels.
