*TOUCHDOWN* Little trickery right there from Christian Taylor and Co. Holman takes the direct snap, hands it to Hughes who throws it into the end zone. Frendt with the contested touchdown grab from 13 yards out. That was an 8-play, 71-yard drive. Wyoming 7 UNLV 0 10:32/ 1Q

Building a nuclear plant takes mountains of paperwork. In Kemmerer, TerraPower is using AI to check its plans, designs and NRC permit work. At Idaho National Lab, the scientist who built the NRC's reference models for that reactor says AI gets him "between 70 and 90% of the way there." Then a human checks it, and the human is responsible. That's the right order. Use the tool, keep a person accountable, judge the work. I want that plant built in Wyoming, and built right. Washington should let us find out what AI can do before it writes rules about what it might do. Stick around. cowboystatedaily.com/2026/10…

This is not the time to whine, complain, or point fingers. We need to take our medicine, focus on what the American people want, and get back to work.

Writing this in my personal capacity, but I have been flying these types of aircraft for more than 20 years, with over 8,000 hours, and have reasonable familiarity with how the charter world operates. I feel compelled to post after seeing commentary about the Lear 60 crash, from missile strikes to DEI to critiquing this poor woman’s final radio calls. That last part is what I find most troubling. She was the second-in-command (SIC), and while she was empowered to point out mistakes as part of good crew resource management, she was doing her job, communicating with ATC right to the end in a terrifying situation. She likely knew before many of those calls that she was going to die. I have heard final calls from friends, from military pilots with thousands of hours in fighter aircraft, and they are just as heartbreaking because they know the end is approaching. I understand the public interest given the footage and audio. But you do not know the aircraft’s maintenance history, whether there was a structural failure, if any failure was induced by turbulence, overspeed, or overcontrol, or everything happening in that cockpit. I am sure weather will be part of the investigation, but beyond that, it is speculation. The charter industry routinely hires commercial pilots very early in their careers to gain experience alongside an ATP-qualified captain before they move up to the airlines. She would still have the appropriate training, qualifications, and checkouts by an FAA examiner or designee. Let people investigate, learn, and share the facts. Be respectful to those who perished and the families who carry their memories. God bless them and their loved ones.

It was a great day cheering on the Bills and celebrating UW alum, Josh Allen. It was a special opportunity to meet Josh, connect with Bills fans and share a little Cowboy pride with the community. So proud to see a fellow Poke making an impact on and off the field.

I’ve only recently begun to understand how our government works. I know some of you may be rolling your eyes or perhaps even feeling a bit of rage and disbelief that a 44-year-old woman is just now learning about something that has such a huge impact on our lives. But I know without a doubt that there are many people who are just like me. prairiewifeinheels.com/i-kne…

I spent my years in the Legislature fighting for Wyoming jobs. Right now we've got companies that want to build here, and they're hitting a wall: they can't get the power. Under today's law, your electricity comes from a tightly regulated monopoly. In August, a legislative committee narrowly killed a bill that would have let independent suppliers sell power directly to big customers using 25 megawatts or more. A new version is back, and Rep. Lee Filer says, "This is the year that we're going to pass something." He's right. Wyoming has the coal, the gas, the uranium and the wind. What we don't have is laws written for 2026. Let people build power plants, let buyers sign the contracts, and don't hang the cost on regular ratepayers. More energy made in Wyoming and used in Wyoming means more paychecks in Wyoming. Stick around. cowboystatedaily.com/2026/09…
