Great job of @samfendermusic to get his prices changed lower for fans! It’s refreshing to see an artist care about them. Other artists/promoters will raise prices like crazy and then deny they have a say in pricing when they are just lying to you. The majority of artists, promoters and execs only view fans as their piggy banks. Other artists will raise prices like crazy and then deny they have a say in pricing. but they are just lying to you. Great job to Sam.
Sam Fender speaks out over the prices of his latest tour, prices to be changed. Man of his word, massive respect. @samfendermusic #samfender #unitedkingdom #tour #price

The sickening stories keeping coming in…😢😢😢 SHAME ON YOU, @StubHub. Imagine being a kid, a HUGE @Brewers fan, and finding out you’re going to see your team play in the WORLD SERIES! ⚾️💙💛 The excitement. The anticipation. The memories you’re already imagining making. Now imagine having that excitement ripped away because a company sold your 3 tickets that you bought, that they apparently can’t deliver. That’s exactly what we’re dealing with right now. We purchased THREE tickets to the Milwaukee Brewers World Series for Game 1 last Tuesday(13th) through StubHub. We selected our section, our row, paid for our tickets, and received our order confirmation. Everything was supposed to be set. Then suddenly, StubHub tells us they’re “searching for replacement options” because they can’t provide the tickets we purchased. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! How does a company accept someone’s hard earned money, confirm a purchase, and then turn around and say they can’t fulfill it?! And their solution? We can request a refund while they continue looking for tickets. THIS ISN’T ABOUT THE MONEY. It’s about the experience. It’s about the memories. It’s about the excitement of a kid, his dad, and grandpa, who thought they were going to watch their favorite baseball team play on the biggest stage in baseball. Look at the first picture. That’s the disappointment you’re creating, StubHub. A refund doesn’t replace that moment. And here’s what really bothers me… StubHub advertises a “FanProtect Guarantee” and tells customers their orders are “100% guaranteed.” Guaranteed WHAT, exactly?! Because from where we’re sitting, that guarantee doesn’t feel worth much when you can’t deliver the tickets you sold us. We did everything right. We purchased through a major ticket marketplace. We trusted the confirmation. We trusted the guarantee. Now it’s time for StubHub to make it right. We aren’t asking for anything extra. We want the three tickets we paid for, or comparable or better seats together, at no additional cost. Stubhub…DO BETTER. Please SHARE this. Not just for us, but for every fan who has trusted a ticket company with an experience that means so much more than the price of admission. ℹ️Brandon Barker

In 2007, I bought a World Series ticket to Coors Field from the Rockies site for $100. In 2014, bought one for KC from Royals site for $150. Both of those were cheapest available in nosebleeds. In 2026, it costs $900+ for nosebleeds at the Trop from Rays site.

Major inventory dump relative to the low supply. Pays to wait?
Ticket prices for Brewers World Series Game 1 finally coming back down to reality. After peaking above $3,000 and holding there for much of the week, the get-in price has sharply reversed, falling over 35% to $1,968. Where does this one end up? The all-time record for a baseball game is $1,809, set at Indians at Cubs Game 4 of the 2016 World Series (measured ~90 minutes before first pitch). At this rate, it looks there is a chance that record could stand? Live Chart: ticketdata.com/events/160553…

Nothing exposes the problem with the Live Nation–Ticketmaster monopoly more clearly than this Calvin Harris tour. Shows sold outside Ticketmaster, using randomized waiting rooms, have resale tickets starting around $110~. Ticketmaster shows, using its selection process, have get-in prices of $400 or more. How is that a win for fans? This system helps 2% of them at the expense of the other 98%. What do you want to bet they all show up on Ticketmaster Resale in blocks of 20, and TM looks the other way because it makes a fortune on resale fees? #Ticketmaster #Monopoly #CalvinHarrisTickets @ScottFriedman3 @forcemm Toronto and Hamilton prohibit resale above face value. St. Paul, Salt Lake City, and Houston all used platforms other than Ticketmaster. From there down, it’s ALL Ticketmaster venues—with absurd resale prices. That’s what this system gets you. The common denominator problem: Ticketmaster

Gov. Healey’s bill would pour gasoline on an already raging fire.” Why are we allowing @Ticketmaster to hold back tickets from fans and then sell them at outrageous platinum prices? @MassGovernor, who is this bill really protecting? The fans or Live Nation and Ticketmaster? My article in CommonWealth Beacon. Link below

Sports franchises are basically run like Real Estate companies now. Season Tickets might as well be viewed as rent because you don’t own the tickets anymore in a majority of cases.

I know multiple people who used to have full season packages for the Yankees at the old stadium. Would make it to 35-40 games a year. Resell 15-20 at face, sell the Red Sox games for twice, and donate or give away the rest. The goal wasnt to make a profit, just pay for the games they could go to. Then prices doubled at the new stadium, the Yankees made dumb rules against stubhub, and it no longer made sense to get season tickets and now they go to half the games they used to.
Season tickets have gone from coveted things you passed down to future generations to the biggest scam in sports. All because teams got greedy and kept pushing up the price. The market has spoken and said it isn’t worth the “face value” anymore.

@NFL invoices are coming in, and it’s the same story every year. For the last 10 years, teams have raised prices year after year. Good team, bad team — makes no difference. The price increases are INSANE. Fans are getting fed up, and people are walking away for good. Teams better wake up. You can only squeeze your loyal fans so much before you lose them forever

Teams are increasingly retaining inventory to sell on a single-game basis rather than committing those seats to season ––or miniature–– ticket packages. And the expectation is that more will retain an even larger share of single-game ticketing inventory in the years ahead. 👇

The worst team in the @NFL is raising 🎟️ prices. Why even be a STH these days for @MiamiDolphins?
The Dolphins, who lowered or kept prices the same for all season tickets this season, are raising all season ticket prices for next season, to account for an extra regular season home game in 2027. (Total number of home games remains 10, including preseason, but 9 will be regular season next year). Price increase is 3 % for most. A couple sections in shade on home sideline rose a bit more than 3%. Renewals went out today.

Has there ever been a greater disparity between regular-season and World Series ticket prices? The Brewers' World Series get-in price is now 125x their typical regular-season get-in. From $20 to over $2,500 for the same seat in the same ballpark.

You can see Calvin Harris in Vegas clubs for around $70. Please do not panic-buying $400 arena tickets. The ticketing industry thrives when fans think they have to pay whatever it takes before tickets disappear. Don’t let FOMO turn you into the product. #paystowait

This seems pretty incredible. Someone has for sale on Ticketmaster resale. Seats 1-30 and someone has for sale seats 3-30 for Andrea Bocelli for the other show. The ticket limit for this event is 8 for presales and 12 for public sale. @saumil can you shed some light on what is happening here being the global president of Ticketmaster. You know exactly who bought these tickets and who has them listed for sale.

Typically, when a team advances to a championship, ticket prices see at least some immediate bump. Even when demand is not quite there, prices usually hold for a day or so before starting to decline. But within just 30 minutes of the Rays winning the ALCS last night, World Series Game 3 ticket prices plunged almost 25%. I can't recall seeing a sudden drop this dramatic after a championship clinch off the top of my head.

MLB owners recently put together $2B in a "war chest" to prepare for the lockout That's about $75M per team, which is more than the Guardians spent in payroll Read that again, owners set aside more in rainy day funds for the Guardians than the Guardians spent on payroll
