The Ways of A Gentleman

Few poems describe a gentleman's character better than Kipling's "If—," and few men read it better than Sir Michael Caine. Have a great Friday.

This has gone viral in France. The wonderful black woman is a credit to France. The smug, haute-bourgeois blonde an embarrassment.
“Your shops that got looted were nice, okay, but we’re starving.” People looked this girl up and her dad is a corporate executive who worked for Shell. What a smug psychopath.

Australia’s first Australian-born Governor-General was a Jewish Melburnian: Sir Isaac Isaacs Born in 1855 to Jewish immigrant parents, Isaacs rose from modest beginnings to help shape the nation’s democratic & legal institutions His contribution to Australia was remarkable: • Federation: Represented Victoria at the 1897–98 Constitutional Convention & campaigned for the Constitution • Parliament: Elected to Australia’s first federal Parliament in 1901 & later served as Commonwealth Attorney-General • Law: Served almost 25 years on the High Court, becoming Chief Justice in 1930 • National leadership: Became Australia’s first Australian-born Governor-General in 1931, serving until 1936 During the Great Depression, he voluntarily gave up a quarter of his Governor-General’s salary & his High Court pension - a tangible expression of public service during national hardship As a Jewish Australian, I take pride in his contribution to modern Australia Sir Isaac Isaacs helped build Australia. His legacy deserves to be widely known & celebrated #AustralianHistory #JewishAustralians #PublicService

Something people don't mention enough is that JK Rowling is a domestic violence survivor. She didn't have a victim mentality. She survived by writing the best-selling children's books of a generation. With that said, she's still a DV survivor, and she inherently understands coercive control and abuse dynamics, and she identifies them in the trans activist movement. It amazes me that she has exercised so much restraint in discussing the depths of the effects of her own witch-hunt in an age where few resist doing so, but she doesn't because she doesn't have a victim complex, and that is why they hate her so much.

Britain once threatened war with its oldest friend. 🇬🇧 A friendship sealed at Windsor in 1386. Still in force today. 🤝 In 1839 Britain told Portugal: stop shipping human beings. Or the Royal Navy will stop you. ⚓ Off East Africa, HMS Modeste chased a slave ship for nearly nine hours. 695 people stepped onto a jetty at Cape Town. Never sold. 🕊️ They teach you the ships that carried people. Not the ones that stopped them. Watch the full story. 🎥

This should be pushed far and wide. Watched in every college class in the U.S. Thank you @billmaher The moral confusion is gross. "It is not a genocide, it is a counterattack in a war...Gaza equals genocide is a lie, an easily provable lie (as I have argued from first hand observations in Gaza). The fact that so many democrats go along with it is to me the party's worse moment since they undid reconstruction after the civil war...words have meaning...genocide, kill or try to kill an entire people, you can't just change the definition of genocide to mean counterattack in a war where people including civilians die, that's every war..."

Until 1979, Sweden classified homosexuality as a mental illness. That year, activists took the classification as an illness to its logical extent - Swedes called in too gay to go to work.

My attempt at discussing what has driven violent riots & wanton destruction in France (not without interruption). I was also reacting to unhelpfully labelling Kemi Badenoch's mention of challenges of migration y'day, as a Trump-like dog whistle #PoliticsLive

Look at how the dictators of Russia, Cuba, and Iran stand together, united in oppression. Now look at us. Women who have stood up to their dictatorships, united in resistance. we are wounded but unbowed to our oppressors. 💔✌️

This video exchange captures our existential fight today. The woman we might call the heritage French woman, a socialist, is willing to surrender her nation out of white guilt. The immigrant from the Congo could not be more French and capitalist, and she has to fight for her livelihood against this evil of white guilt. What makes the values and principles of the West immensely great is that they were never about color, even when those in the West fell short, but about who was willing to embrace the freedoms in order to have the opportunity to pursue their dreams.

Dr. Maalouf ‏

Myriam was a 7-year-old French Jewish girl. She witnessed a terrorist break into her school and kill two of her classmates. She tried to run but tripped while grabbing her schoolbag, causing her ballet slippers to fall out. She stopped to pick them up. He chased her and grabbed her by the hair, shooting her in the head at point-blank range. The man was Mohamed Merah, and a rap song honoring him and other Muslim terrorists has become the unofficial anthem of the ‘student protests’ in France.
