Georgian police have arrested at least nine people during a demonstration in Tbilisi. The first protester was taken away after displaying a poster asking: โIs Bidzina a dick? We're very poor, and we must begin building things up that starts generating money, which we then reinvest in other things... For Georgia, beginning with agriculture is one of the best ways, cause it's cheap, especially as Georgia still has old soviet infrastructure that can be fixed and improved to modern standards, usually, fixing and improving is cheaper than building from scratch.
There are way too many benefits, first of all, we must feed ourselves, be less dependent on imports and specifically diversify imports that remain, which also means that we're less vulnerable towards global shocks. I am not even talking about possibilities of exporting things...
Economic centers will exist all around the country. Cities will get less pressure on them, rent prices down, less traffic, less stress, this is the part of general engineering of the country. There are way too many moving parts that all intertwine.
Government must be involved only initially, organizing things, preparing infrastructure, inviting professionals with experience, training people to modern standards, leasing not yet privatized lands to people and then giving autonomy to these people.
There is a hub aspect to it as well, multiple villages can be connected to a nearby town, proper roads, public transport, schools, hospitals, everything that is necessary with easy access, instead of managing such things in each village. I won't have enough space here to list all the possible benefits, we're also a small country and can direct this singular direction of development very precisely to our needs, while also working and developing a lot of other directions, completely not related to agriculture.
It's not given, but increasing competitiveness between local product and imported product might affect prices positively.
Also, Georgia has a luxury to follow 5 development paths at the same time, agriculture is one of them, others are technology, tourism, transit, energy. All of them must feed each other.

I am almost convinced that the "Golden Age" of Western civilization or in worst case Western civilization as a whole will come to an end in the next 50 to 100 years. Values are important, but not more important than civilizational vision.
You can argue about details, but russia attacking Ukraine surprised nobody in our part of the world, we knew it since the 90s. Sooner or later Ukrainians would elect a leader to direct country toward the West, why? Because that's Ukraine's civilizational vision. And because of this, russia would attack Ukraine, why? Because it's russia's civilizational vision, which encapsulates a lot of different strategic or non-strategic reasons, and russia tried a lot of different things before the full-scale invasion, they just weren't able to break Ukraine's civilizational vision, and didn't really have any other choice.
The same can be said about Taiwan, why is China preparing so hard, why are they ready to even go head-to-head against the USA? Because it is part of China's civilizational vision.
It seems to me that the West lost this civilizational vision, russia and China will do anything, they don't care about freedom, democracy, human rights, or any of that bullshit, the opposite, they will use those Western values against the West, in the West, and they already do for quite some time.
Instead of trying to oppose it, generating this line of defense from civilizational vision, the West became even more open, even softer, with a weird, manufactured self-guilt, with a comical level of political correctness and total lack of civilizational and nationalist education, which essentially made people mute, blind, and deaf to all potential dangers. First of all, mass import of Islam, which won't stop, won't assimilate, or communism, which doesn't appear out of thin air, it comes from deliberate work on new generations through certain narratives, that are also, always funded by certain powers, using Western values and that lack of civilizational vision.
West's major problem is that the right-wing, or even rarer - nationalists who must repeat what I am saying here, are also populists, useless, often russian shills, and just try to fill in the empty space, play the game, focus on singular sensitive topics, be part of the show, there's no civilizational vision in them either, and for example, Trump proved that instantly, by selling Ukraine, it absolutely doesn't matter what kind of thoughts you have on Ukraine, easing situation for russia in any situation, directly contradicts Western civilizational vision.

Key terms include:
1. The US, Iran, and their allies agree to immediately and permanently end military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon
2. The US and Iran agree to respect each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity and not interfere in each other's internal affairs
3. The US and Iran commit to negotiating and reaching a final deal within 60 days, unless mutually extended
4. The US will begin removing its naval blockade immediately and fully end the blockade within 30 days
5. Iran will use its best efforts to ensure safe passage for commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz for 60 days with no charge
6. The US and regional partners will develop a mutually agreed plan of at least $300 billion for Iran's reconstruction and economic development
7. The US will work toward terminating all types of sanctions against Iran, including UN, IAEA, primary, and secondary sanctions
8. Iran reaffirms that it will not procure or develop nuclear weapons and agrees to address its enriched material stockpile under IAEA supervision
9. Until a final deal is reached, Iran will maintain the current status quo of its nuclear program, while the US will impose no new sanctions and deploy no additional forces
