We all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, so I would just leave it up to Him to decide that. As a Christian, she is forgiven on my side, but sin has consequences and the Lord will judge if she is not doing it with her full heart. It is not my duty to judge if she is doing it with her heart or not. Still, the wound that she may have caused to Charlieโs loved ones is huge, and apologies will not change the pain that they are going through because of the poem that she read. All my prayers are for the Kirk family. My prayers are for this young girl, that she may find the true Jesus, as the Bible commands us to pray for our enemies.

My guess is that the apology is at least as performative as the original behavior.
