The stories out of the police force of Montreal are getting more shocking day by day (cutting Black ppls hair and keeping as a trophy, peeing on homeless ppl and deleting evidence in a DV case) and our mayor passes a law that you’re fined for criticizing them?
What an embarrassment. No free speech AND people being terrorized by the police force.

Royal Censorious Mounted Pugilists? Check out Kenneth Pamburn’s story. He was arrested in Red Deer by RCMP Officer Haight for the NON-CRIME of filming police! Then RCMP ordered YouTube to remove the video because Haight was suffering from hurt feelings!

Can we please try to be serious? Does anyone really think Montreal cops are scalping Black people and urinating on unhoused people because they weren't properly trained or mentored?

Funny how @ErickAlneus & @ProjetMontreal now say @SPVM #PoliceMisconduct involving cutting people's hair or urinating on them is #CompletelyUNacceptable, when they FAILed to condemn #SPVM #PoliceBrutality targeting #protesters, #photographers & #journalists etc.

I was actually just wondering how the bootlickers were going to defend the disgusting cops who did this. You people defend cops no matter what. It’s truly unbelievable that people as pathetic and disgusting as you exist.

While we're at it, why not hire 6,000 more cops to stop climate change? Let's add another 8,000 cops to cure cancer and all the other diseases. How about 4,000 cops to fix the housing crisis and another 3,000 to solve the loneliness crisis?

Jagbir Ghankas is the protester seen pointing and laughing at a man who seriously injured in a sneak attack.
This montage offers a look at Ghankas’s interactions with high-ranking police officers.
Respect for authority seems to coexist comfortably with a lack of respect for others.

There is a personal cost to documenting Canada’s protest circuit, even without taking a position on the controversial issues at the centre of these demonstrations.

In 2024, I filmed this condescending and insensitive Montreal cop accuse a protester who received death threats from Mai Abdulhadi of “provoking the situation!” simply because he was filming Abdulhadi. For those who don’t know, it took the SPVM months to arrest Abdulhadi, and the story of her making threats against pro-Israel protesters made international news.

This is extremely serious. Toronto Police are duty bound to arrest this psycho expeditiously.

WATCH & READ:
Toronto Police have yet to respond to my open letter about repeated protest-related misconduct and the apparent lack of meaningful enforcement.
The letter was addressed to Staff Sergeant MacDuff, who passed it up the chain of command.
In this footage, MacDuff speaks with livestreamer Lynne Brooks, who recounts having just been assaulted by activist-journalist Samira Mohyeddin. He asks Brooks, “What were you doing in that crowd?” He then appears to dismiss an assault against counterprotester Salman Sima as a consequence of Sima looking for problems.
Brooks pushes back: “We were filming! He was just walking!”
Sima frequently attracts confrontation at protests, but his conduct generally consists of marching near protesters, shouting, or conveying his message on a sign. If the mere presence of dissenting views is enough to trigger violence, that is a separate problem that demands attention.
Another counterprotester was seriously injured in a seemingly unprovoked assault, ultimately ending up in the hospital. Details to follow.
Police cannot uphold public order selectively. The law must protect everyone, regardless of which side of a protest they stand on.
