It is not AI or chips or photonics but it is a great long term trade over the next 5-7 years and it's pets! 🐕🐈🐟🦎🫏
$CHWY might be on the most undervalued stocks out there today
Thesis: During the pandemic, millions of households acquired pets while working from home. By 2026, those animals are now 5–7 years old—roughly midway through a typical dog or cat lifespan. Over the next 3–7 years, this large cohort will enter senior and geriatric life stages, driving higher demand for veterinary diagnostics, monitoring, and treatment.
Key Pet-Health TAM and Demand Context (2026)
Total U.S. pet industry expenditures reached $158 billion in 2025 (+3.7% YoY) and are projected to reach ~$165 billion in 2026 (~4.4% growth), according to the American Pet Products Association (APPA) 2026 State of the Industry Report released at Global Pet Expo.
Of that total, pet-health spending (veterinary services + related products) is the highest-margin, highest-growth segment most leveraged to aging-animal care intensity.
Industry estimates place the broader U.S. pet-health TAM in the mid-$50 billion range, with the majority (~$40 billion) concentrated in in-clinic products and veterinary services—the portion most sensitive to the rising diagnostic and treatment needs of older pets.
The balance is roughly split between retail health products (~$8 billion) and pet insurance (~$6 billion).
So AI earnings are collapsing so the Fed needs to cut to save the tech companies stock prices but the Fed can’t cut because inflation is surging

We categorically deny allegations that Qatar has interfered in Israeli elections or funded any activities intended to influence their outcome. We reject the accusations made by certain Israeli politicians and their contacts in the media, who have launched yet another disinformation campaign aiming to drag Qatar into Israeli political disputes following this week’s elections. They accuse Qatar of buying off Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli political left and now, in this latest campaign, the Arab vote. If these claims were to be believed, Qatar would apparently own all of Israel.
These accusations are ridiculous and dangerous in equal measure. The repeated invocation of Qatar in Israeli electoral rhetoric reveals an excessive obsession with our country among certain Israeli political and media figures. Qatar should not be used as a scapegoat for the political failures of certain Israeli politicians. Rather than trying to shift attention onto Qatar, they would be better off focusing on their own voters, improving people’s everyday lives, and undoing the damage they’ve created in the region.
We reiterate that we have no involvement in Israel’s political or electoral competition. These are internal Israeli matters in which we do not interfere, and we will not accept any attempt to draw Qatar into its domestic political disputes. Any government emerging from these elections must uphold international law and relevant United Nations resolutions, engage seriously and honestly on the Palestinian issue, and respect the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among them their right to self-determination and an independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. This requires responsibility and accountability.
None of this will distract us from our important role as a mediator, our diplomatic and humanitarian efforts, our support for the Palestinian people, or our commitment to a just and comprehensive peace and regional stability. We will continue working closely with our regional and international partners to resolve ongoing conflicts through diplomacy. We will not remain silent while Qatar’s name is exploited to serve electoral agendas or narrow political interests.

No bailouts!
🚨 CONGRESS IS NOW DISCUSSING WHAT HAPPENS IF MAJOR AI COMPANIES GO BANKRUPT.
House Democrats have introduced a resolution calling for AI companies to receive ZERO taxpayer funded bailouts if they collapse.
AI spending by Amazon, Microsoft, Alphabet, Oracle, Meta and SpaceX is expected to top $7 trillion from 2025 to 2030, per S&P.
Big Tech is expected to borrow a record $420 billion in 2027 alone.
Now, lawmakers are discussing what should happen if those massive investments go wrong.
The resolution calls for:
• No taxpayer funded bailouts for failing AI companies.
• No emergency loans, cash injections or debt guarantees from the Fed, Treasury or FDIC.
• Failed AI companies to go through normal bankruptcy proceedings.
• Executives responsible for reckless or illegal conduct to face accountability.
• Government support to protect workers and retirement savings instead of corporate executives.
The resolution is not legally binding, and it does not mean lawmakers know an AI crash is coming.
But it shows the risk is now being taken seriously in Congress.
And there is a reason to pay attention.
AI companies are spending enormous amounts of money today based on expectations of future demand and profits.
If those expectations fail, the damage could spread beyond AI companies to banks, lenders and investors financing the expansion.

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
SRS did not describe the event as a “US Government Nuclear Incident”; that phrasing is from the FAA TFR notice. SRS reported a contained fire with no off-site contamination.
