I’m very sorry that you’ve had to make the ultimate decision for her.
She’s fortunate that you’ve treated her with so much love and kindness over her illness, and that you’ve not prolonged it.

I’m sympathetic to the argument, but doesn’t the production of machine made clothing help establish the supply chain that is required for handmade higher quality goods?

I feel this way about CGI generally - I think it works a lot better when it’s actually possible as a point of view and this is not a view transition that’s really possible.

I suspect the shape of the objects actually in the calendar may disappoint (the “WW2 planes” one doing the rounds last year had many disappointed customers!)

I do love how everything has a gritty look to it! I remember seeing B1046 in maintenance at HT when I started and it looked like such a workhorse!

The photo of Noël Coward was taken in the 30’s at Waterloo station; the British Pullman oval window behind is distinctive. Interesting to have a very English actor in England with the canonical-American overcoat. Was it an American export at the time or from his American travels?

Well… given that it is Prop 65, it was actually voters rather than the state government to blame on this one!

“That’s the way we’ve always done it” is a perfectly good answer to “why”. It’s just not a good answer to why you shouldn’t do it differently 🤷🏼♂️

I think we are in agreement. As I understand it, once you pass V1 then the only reason not to fly is a catastrophic failure along the lines of “the controls are jammed” and you’re choosing the inevitable accident.
Seems like the same logic applies to a go around at this point?
