Alcoholic drinks often carry higher profit margins than food items in most restuarants. Fast food chains do not serve alcohol. Muslims spend an absurd amount eating out. The halal certification at chains is mostly to not lose out on revenue made. This used to be common knowledge
Ever notice how the dodgy reporting is often hidden behind a paywall?
In Gauteng alone, major fast-food chains offering halaal food include KFC, Nando’s, Steers, Debonairs, McDonald’s, Chicken Licken, Roman’s Pizza, Burger King and Wimpy.
Muslims make up roughly 2–3% of South Africa’s population. So why does halaal compliance seem so widespread across mainstream fast food? Who is driving this demand, and what does the market data actually tell us?

Like I wanna be so rich that I can give so much of sadaqah and help people, but I also REALLY want to save all the animals ever and give them love and kindness because a lot of them suffer because of humans and it makes me so sad because they are so innocent
