🚨 WE DID IT. 🚨
We're thrilled to announce that, as of today, Chilling Tales for Dark Nights has officially been RE-MONETIZED on YouTube.
This wasn't something that happened quietly behind the scenes. Over the past several weeks, the horror community came together in a way we've rarely seen before. Dozens of affected creators and hundreds of passionate fans raised their voices across Twitter/X and beyond, demanding answers and accountability from YouTube after a wave of demonetizations impacted horror creators throughout the platform.
And for once, it appears they listened.
Do we suddenly trust YouTube? Of course not.
Do we have any guarantee they won't pull more shenanigans tomorrow, next week, or next month? Also no.
But today is still a victory.
Not just for Chilling Tales for Dark Nights, but for the entire horror narration community and every creator who fought to be heard. This outcome wasn't handed to us. It happened because creators stood together, fans refused to stay silent, and thousands of people made enough noise that YouTube could no longer ignore the issue.
To everyone who posted, shared, commented, tagged YouTube, signed petitions, spread awareness, and helped amplify our voices: thank you.
This happened because of YOU.
Please join us in congratulating all of the horror creators who have been re-monetized and give them a well-deserved round of applause. 👏👏👏
Today proves that when this community stands together, we can make a difference.
Thank you all for having our backs. We won't forget it.

Hi @TeamYouTube,
Over the past few days, I've seen many creators finally receive new human reviews that resulted in their monetization being restored.
And honestly, that's amazing news.
I genuinely appreciate the effort your teams are making to correct mistakes and ensure that creators who deserve to be in the YouTube Partner Program are given a fair opportunity.
But at the same time, many of us are still stuck in this painful loop of uncertainty, frustration and demotivation.
For more than 50 days, I've been trying to understand what is supposedly wrong with my channel. I've made changes, sought guidance, appealed, contacted support and done everything I can to comply.
Yet I'm still here, with no clear explanation, no actionable feedback, and no meaningful path forward.
My channel is not just a source of income to take care of myself and my dog. It's a project built from passion, creativity and countless hours of work. Watching it slowly fade away while feeling completely powerless has been incredibly difficult.
I'm not asking for special treatment.
I'm simply asking for the same thing many others have recently received:
A fair human review.
Please take another look at my channel and the work behind it.
Thank you @TeamYouTube

A plataforma continuou lucrando.

YouTube demonitized me, for "Inauthentic Content" While I physcially go outside and record my videos, and edit them myself. I submited my appeal and video appeal on April 25th a few hours after I was demonitized. It seems to have been ignored. Now Studio is saying I missed the deadline..And have to wait 90 days. I have almost 224,000 subscribers and over 200 million total views.
Support said it was "denied" But in studio seems to show no one even looked at my appeal. I have been ignored, Randomly banned from contacting support for 30 days for being "abusive" and "unproductive" 8 days after my last email. Which I've been nice to them to the entire time despite the stressful circumstances.
My mental health has taken a turn, I did see someone for it though and got some medication to help a bit, medication that can be addictive... Just to help me function and not just mope around all day.
I have had my channel since 2008 and for the past 10 years I have put a ton of work into my channel, I have spent well over $15,000 on products to make videos on over the years. My content is 100% authentic and even unique, I don't copy anyone and its of my own work.
I have built a wonderful community of subscribers and viewers that have now started wondering why am I not making as many videos.
Please can someone at @TeamYouTube have a real human look into my appeal and you will see my content is legit and original.
@reneritchie I'm not sure if you can even help since I'm just some small random creator, but your help would be highly appreciated.
I have bills to pay, a mortgage, car payment, and very expensive vet bills along with a possible upcoming $10,000+ vet bill to save one of my cats life which I cannot afford now.
Thank you,
HPad (Hunter)

YOUTUBE DELETED 13 YEARS OF WWII HISTORY
At this point, I only have 6 months left to recover my channel. After that, everything on my account will be permanently deleted.
(155K subs) pure archive footage of tanks + veteran stories was nuked by AI for “child sexual abuse” and “harmful content with minors”. Zero kids. Zero violations.
Just historical footage. We need a REAL human review NOW! If you hate Big Tech erasing history: LIKE this post COMMENT “Restore Panzerpicture” REPOST this! if AI censorship of history must STOP! #RestorePanzerPicture #YouTubeCensorship #WWIIHistory #SaveHistory @TeamYouTube
Naprawdę, czytając tego typu posty CEO YouTube'a nie wiem, czy się śmiać, czy płakać
Creators today have the scale and independence to build their businesses anywhere, but they’re choosing @youtube.
That's because we're a true partner and the ultimate home for their most ambitious creative visions.
tldr: we gave your money back to the advertisers after wrongfully demonetising you for over 50 days…THEY CALLED THIS GOOD NEWS BTW💀

We are going to sue YouTube
But before we do, our lawyer is currently in the process of sending a letter to YouTube.
Over 2 weeks ago our channel youtube.com/@UnderSparked was falsely demonetized under the "inauthentic content" policy.
Demonetized doesn't mean no ads though, all it means is YouTube will still run ads on the videos. But they pocket all the revenue, essentially stripping all the revenue from us.
We don't claim to be the pinnacle of quality content standards, but the following things do cause us to scratch our heads in confusion
1. All of the bigger channels in the same niche as us are monetized with no issues
2. We literally voice act, edit, etc, all our own videos while 100s of AI storytelling channels are still monetized
3. YouTube is fine with running ads on the videos, pocketing all the revenue. We assume if YouTube had such a big problem with the content, why still serve it to your advertisers?
4. 100s of reaction channels still stay monetized
Some examples of bigger monetized channels that are in the same niche as us are:
rSlash: youtube.com/@rSlash
DarkFluff: youtube.com/@DarkFluff
Oz's Vault: youtube.com/channel/UCoJ1Anu…
We support these channels, the reason we are providing these channels as examples is to showcase how it feels like we're being targeted.
This has caused extreme distress for my team and I. Many of our livelihoods and families rely on this channel. Our community relies on the UnderSparked channel.
Many people support the UnderSparked channel because in a time of nonstop AI channels, we stepped up and used real voice actors to cater to that connection and community that viewers on YouTube crave.
We truly believe this demonetization was done in error, all we want is a real human specialist to help us fix the issue.
We're tired of constantly receiving only copy and pasted templated responses, constantly neglecting/dismissing our attempts at fixing the false demonetization.
We're kindly requesting for a representative from @TeamYouTube to help us fix this demonetization issue with our channel.
We don't want to send letters, or sue, or anything! We simply just want to go back to producing content for our community.

An open letter to YouTube.
We need to talk.
Creators are waking up to terminated channels, wiped revenues, and years of work gone overnight. No warning. No explanation. No appeal that actually works.
So on behalf of every creator who has ever put their life into this platform, here are our demands.
1. Tell us WHY.
A termination email with zero context is not a policy. If you are going to end someone's livelihood, the least you can do is explain what they actually did wrong.
2. Fix the appeals process.
Right now appealing a strike feels like shouting into a void. An automated rejection in 24 hours is not a review. We want real humans making real decisions.
3. Stop punishing whole channels for one video.
One bad upload should not erase five years of content. Strike the video. Don't delete the creator.
4. Give us a warning before termination.
A strike system exists for a reason. Use it. Creators should not be going from zero issues to fully terminated with no steps in between.
5. Be transparent about what is changing.
Every few months the rules quietly shift and channels start disappearing. Tell us what changed. We are not mind readers.
6. Protect the creators who built this platform.
YouTube would not exist without creators. The people losing their channels right now are not bad actors. Many of them are the reason people still open the app.
We are not asking for special treatment.
We are asking to be treated like partners, not liabilities.
Reply if you agree.
@TeamYouTube I respectfully ask for a proper human review of my youtube.com/@QuadrotesOpowie… channel and previously denied appeal.
11 years of original narrated horror storytelling created with my own voice and editing were classified as “inauthentic content,” and many viewers believe this may be a mistake.
I would deeply appreciate another look at the case. Thank you.

⚠️🚨I’ve heard creators can even lose access to YouTube email/chat support if they keep asking too many questions about their demonetization.⚠️🚨
Think about how insane that sounds.
First you lose your income with vague reasoning.
Then you get the same copy-paste response everywhere:
✉️Email → template
💬Chat → template
✖️TwitterX DM → template
🤖“Your case was reviewed.”
🗓️“Wait 90 days.”
No clear explanation. No actual guidance.
And now creators are scared to even push support too much because they fear getting ignored or blocked completely.
I’ve seen it happen over and over on Twitter/X: @TeamYouTube replies publicly only when a tweet starts getting attention, says “check your DMs,” and then the DM is just another generic response telling you to wait 90 days again.
♾️Today I got another identical template email too. At this point it genuinely feels automated.
To every #creator going through this right now: I know how this feels because I’m going through it too.
The stress, sleepless nights, overthinking, fear of losing everything you built… it genuinely affects people mentally.
Please don’t just stay silent and suffer alone.
Support creators who are speaking up.
Stand with people fighting for transparency.
Because if everyone keeps quiet, nothing will ever change.
Creators shouldn’t feel afraid to ask for help.
So YouTube have told me that my videos are “Mass Produced”. These videos:
• Take at least 1-2 weeks (sometimes months) to release
• Take artists weeks/months to draw
• Take around 9 hours per 1 minutes of footage edited
• Have varied voice actors in which take great passion in their work
• take weeks to organised
I worked so hard on all of these videos and so did everyone else who poured their talents and passions into the content and they sit there and bare face lie to you.
What’s even the point in me uploading these things anymore when the platform itself is saying that the effort is meaningless…
Replying to @KaienVT
Hi, after a manual review, we found that a significant portion of your channel doesn’t align with our policies, specifically around mass-produced content per our Inauthentic Content policies. More info:
goo.gle/4delROV
As a result, the channel isn’t currently eligible for monetization. We know this can be disappointing & that these issues aren’t always intentional. We recommend reviewing our policies & making updates before re-applying to YPP in 90 days:
goo.gle/4wlrRhm We get how important this is for you, let us know if you have any other q's
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
By the creator’s admission on multiple responses to this post, their videos involve teams of artists and require weeks to produce, invalidating YouTube’s claim that the content is mass-produced

Another day, another copy-paste reply from YouTube support.
Different agent name.
Same generic response.
Same “wait 90 days.”
Same zero transparency.
Not a single explanation about:
what exact content is wrong
what exact policy was violated
what creators are supposed to actually fix
Years of work reduced to automated paragraphs.
At this point it genuinely feels like small creators are talking to a wall.
@TeamYouTube
Funny how YouTube can suddenly solve false demonetization issues in 48 hours when the right partner contacts them
The problem is that regular creators don’t get the same attention: auto-rejected appeals, copy-paste support replies, and no human review
Proper support shouldn’t be reserved for CMS partners and insiders

I just received a sudden “Inauthentic Content” demonetization from YouTube that doesn’t make sense for my channel.
My content is primarily real-world man-on-the-street interviews with everyday Americans. I’ve had a completely clean record — zero warnings or strikes for almost 2 years.
I spent 3.5 years on dialysis building this channel while fighting for my life. I received a kidney transplant 7 months ago and YPP has been essential during my recovery.
Attached are screenshots of my latest uploads (longs, shorts) so you can see I am primarily a man on the street content creator producing real world unique content.
@TeamYouTube @YouTube @YouTubeCreators Hoping for a review. This has been tough. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Today is 120 days since you took away my monetization and over 100 videos on your platform that my audience loved watching. As painful as it was I deleted all of those 100 videos and accepted the demonetization for the inauthentic content. I carefully did research and decided to change the format to a true documentary around 20 minute videos. I even used my voice in some of the videos for the voiceover to make it 100% human and I also used stories from my family. There is no way that this is not authentic because it's my family.
I reapplied after 90 days in April. I was rejected almost immediately and then I raised the question here and then they came back and said that it was for reused content. None of my videos have reused content that has not been transformed with commentary with my voice with my script with an entirely different viewpoint that makes it 100% authentic. After going round and round with you here on X and on creator support and email I was told that I could appeal the decision within 21 days.
Because is the second time around there is no button to click to send the appeal video and when I struck this up with creative support they sent me back to an email thread that nobody has responded to since April. Now I only have four days left on this window to appeal so basically you have caught me up in a continuous loop going nowhere.
I am not a big creator I'm a small creator and this was something that I found that I absolutely loved outside of my life profession as a chiropractor. I did this to learn how to do it to then teach other chiropractors how to also do it and to pass this down to my children as the Next generation. You have completely destroyed all of my hopes and I'm extremely disappointed. All I had asked for was that a human would review my appeal video and point out to me what is not accepted. I'm not asking for special treatment. I'm asking for a business to review my work as a supposed partner since you call it the YouTube partner program. This is not a partnership. This is more like a dictatorship. HELP. Here is my appeal video. Please watch and support.
