Better coached/designed NFL teams dipped to 9-5 in Week 6 and 71-21-1 (.763) for the season. That is the correction I expected. Always expect such teams to win about 75% of the games.

Also included the Ragen Brothers, Frank and James, who founded Ragen’s Colts, the forerunner of the Chicago Outfit. Frank would go on to have great “clout” in Chicago and James would operate the national horse racing wire for Moses Annenberg and Mickey McBride (Browns original owner) until Greasy Thumb Guzik and Dave Yaras moved on him. I highly recommend Len O’Connor’s book “Clout.” It’s one of the best books about urban politics I have ever read.
