Donald Trump functions as a Russian asset, and the entire GOP is going along with it. Their legacy is their complicity - vote them out.
@stuartpstevens:
When the same files keep surfacing the same pattern of allegations involving one person, the refusal to release everything starts to look less like caution and more like self-protection. Survivors’ accounts don’t disappear just because they’re inconvenient.
11 allegations, including 5 of rape and sexual assault by Donald Trump, in the Epstein Files — that we know of.
Those are at least 11 of the reasons why Trump is covering it up.

This is treason - he gave aid to the enemy, Russia, who is giving aid to Iran who we are in a war with. So, basically Trump literally gave aid to Iran to kill Americans.

This morning, the federal government turned the full force of the Department of Homeland Security against a sitting member of Congress for the offense of disagreeing with the White House.
The path to citizenship should not be weaponized against anyone, including Rep. Ilhan Omar, a naturalized American who swore an oath to this country — the same one that I took.
The promise of citizenship should not be contingent on someone agreeing with the federal government.

When the President of the United States encourages a foreign adversary to “take out” two American cities and Congress sits back and does absolutely nothing, it speaks volumes.
Not a peep from Republicans.
Not a peep from Democrats.
No outrage. No accountability. No consequences.
Congress didn’t just surrender its backbone. It surrendered its power.
If threatening American cities doesn’t move Congress to act, what the fuck will?

No trial is an acquittal. The cases ended because Trump won the presidency and DOJ policy bars charging a sitting president—not because a jury heard the evidence and rejected it. Two grand juries returned indictments.
Smith, a career prosecutor who has charged officials in both parties, says the proof met the trial standard, and he would bring the same charges today. Quoting that sworn statement isn’t treating it as a verdict. It’s reporting why the cases were brought in the first place.

Trump today: “Prices for groceries have come way down from Biden. Almost every price has come way down.”
No. Again.
Overall grocery prices are up 3.4% since Jan. 2025, and way more grocery items are up than down. Quick look at the CPI changes for grocery products/categories:

Here are quick fact checks on 16 of President Trump’s claims last night.
1) He claimed, “Food prices and almost every other item are rapidly going down.” Not even close to true. Federal figures show overall prices keep rising, food prices keep rising, and far more products are getting more expensive than getting cheaper.
2) He claimed, “Every single promise I made you as a candidate, I’ve delivered on.” Clearly not . The war in Ukraine didn’t end within 24 hours of his inauguration, inflation isn’t dead, Mexico hasn’t paid for the wall. Etc.
3) He claimed “over $20 trillion” has been invested in the US this term. This figure is fiction even the White House can’t justify. The White House website says “$11.2 trillion,” and even that is a wild exaggeration.
4) He claimed he "won the presidency three times,” then explicitly said he won in 2020. Just lies.
5) He claimed his ballroom will use “zero tax dollars.” The final breakdown is unclear, but the Secret Service has acknowledged that public dollars will be used at least for security measures related to the project, which includes an underground complex. Some Senate Republicans tried this year to get hundreds of millions in public money allocated in part to project-related security.
6) He claimed the ballroom project is “under budget.” There is no actual public budget for it, and cost estimates have steadily increased – from $200 million to $300 million to $400 million to $600 million.
7) He claimed that former NC governor and now Senate candidate Roy Cooper released the man who went on to kill Iryna Zarutska in Charlotte in 2025. But NC’s corrections department has explained that the man served his full robbery sentence and was not released early. The man's release, in 2020, happened months before the state's 2021 lawsuit settlement over pandemic-era prison conditions that resulted in some other offenders getting released sooner than expected.
8) He claimed Texas Senate candidate James Talarico was seen wearing a mask just “a few months ago.” No evidence of this; other Republicans have mocked Talarico for masking in 2022, four years ago. Trump also claimed, in what mayyy have been a joke, that Talarico was recently spotted running away and throwing up after eating meat at a barbecue. Clearly didn’t happen.
9) He said gas prices were just $1.85 per gallon in Iowa when he visited before the Iran war. The Iowa average that day was $2.57, per AAA, and GasBuddy found just four stations that day under $2 – at $1.97, to be specific – out of 2,036 stations it tracked there. (Maybe Trump was referring to the E85 ethanol blend only some cars can use, which was around $1.85, but he certainly didn’t say that.)
10) He said the US has the lowest drug prices in the world. Experts say that is not true as a general claim, and the White House hasn’t substantiated it.
11) He boasted that more Americans are working than ever before. That’s true, but it’s a basically meaningless stat because the number of people working rises over time as the population rises. Better ways to measure the labor market show that it has been far from historically strong this term.
12) He claimed “zero illegal aliens” have crossed the border over the last 15 months. Not true; state and federal authorities have acknowledged some migrants evaded apprehension during that period. The Trump administration says it hasn’t “released” any migrants into the country after apprehension, but that’s different than having zero people crossing at all.
13) He claimed “25 million” migrants poured into the country under Biden. This is another fictional figure. Through the last full month of Biden’s term, the government had recorded under 11 million nationwide “encounters” with migrants…including millions who were rapidly expelled. Even counting “gotaways,” which the House GOP estimated at under 2.5 million, it’s not 25 million people.
14) He claimed Biden or Democrats allowed “11,888 murderers” to enter the country. This is a gross distortion of federal data about non-citizens who entered the US not just under Biden but over the course of multiple decades, including during Trump’s first administration, and were convicted of homicide at some point, usually in the US after their arrival, but remained in the US because they were still serving prison sentences or their original countries wouldn't take them back.
15) He claimed he’d achieved “no tax on Social Security.” His 2025 law created an additional temporary deduction for seniors, expiring after 2028, but the administration has acknowledged millions of Social Security recipients will continue to pay taxes on their benefits.
16) He claimed “trillions of dollars in tariff revenue have come in.” It was in the hundreds of billions, not close to even $1 trillion, even before the big refunds prompted by the Supreme Court decision that ruled some of the tariffs illegal.

The Trump lies are disgusting.
On Trump’s latest 9/11 story:
- He was miles away from the World Trade Center on 9/11, at Trump Tower
- There’s no evidence he was whisked out of any building; in 2016 he claimed he was “not so far” from a building thought to be unstable, didn't hint he was inside
- There’s no public evidence he organized a Ground Zero rescue crew, let alone the 100-strong crew he has previously claimed
- Rescue workers repeatedly did run away from the building he was referring to, One Liberty Plaza, over collapse fears that proved unfounded. Trump discussed these rushes in one Sept. 13, 2001 interview but didn’t say he was personally swept up in one, though it’s theoretically possible
- One Liberty Plaza does not “still creak.” It was closed for less than two months and has been functioning for nearly 25 years now

The sheer number of lies from President Trump about Canada – growing again today – is remarkable. Just some fact checks from the last 18 months:
- Trump falsely said today that Canada's unemployment rate is "10% and rapidly rising,” though it is 6.4% (under the Canadian method that adds about a percentage point) and has been declining for three months
- Trump falsely said today that Canada does 95% of its business with the US, though 72% of Canadian exports went to the US last year
- Trump falsely said today that high Canadian agricultural tariffs have caused the entire US trade deficit with Canada, though that deficit is overwhelmingly caused by US imports of cheap Canadian crude and though something like 97% of US ag exports to Canada are tariff-free
- Trump has falsely said Canada generally doesn’t “take” US agricultural exports, though Canada is the world’s second-biggest buyer of those exports
- Trump has falsely said the Canadian public likes the idea of becoming the 51st state, which the Canadian public overwhelmingly opposes
- Trump has falsely said Canada is one of the world’s highest-tariff countries, though it is actually low in WTO global rankings
- Trump has falsely said Canada essentially doesn't have a military, though its military has fought with the US in multiple wars and its force size ranks in the upper half of NATO
- Trump has falsely said Canada hiked its dairy tariffs during the Biden administration, though they hadn’t changed since Trump’s first presidency
- Trump has falsely said the US trade deficit with Canada is “$200 billion,” though it is nowhere close
- Trump has falsely said Canada prohibits US banks, though it doesn't and though more than a dozen US banks were operating in Canada at the time he spoke
- Trump has falsely said Canada is “constantly surrounded” by Chinese and Russian ships, though that is fiction
- Trump has falsely said then-outgoing PM Trudeau was using their trade battle to run again for prime minister, though Trudeau obviously wasn’t running

BREAKING: TMZ's Harvey Levin releases a viral and deeply moving defense of "amazing public servant" Dr. Fauci and calls the MAGA attacks on him "one of the most heartbreaking things" he’s ever witnessed in government.
This is truly a must-read...
"I have not used TMZ's YouTube channel to vent personal feelings about issues, but I'm going to do that today," Levin said. "Watching Anthony Fauci before a congressional hearing taking the Fifth Amendment is just one of the most heartbreaking things I have seen in government in my lifetime. And this is something we need to reckon with."
"I'm going to say up front, I have problems with the way the CDC handled COVID," he continued. "I think that they did damage to children, to adults, and I don't think they did it maliciously. I think they did it because they were using their judgment and were overprotective, and I think at times overstated things, things they said they knew but really didn't. And I have personal problems with the way that COVID was handled."
"That said, Anthony Fauci, over a period of decades, has been an amazing public servant. In the 80s, I had many friends who died of AIDS, a horrible, painful death. And I had friends who lived because of Anthony Fauci, because he was willing to look at experimental drugs in a different way than they had looked at them before, and that really resulted in lives saved."
"And he has done so many other things in his career to thwart epidemics, to save lives, not just in the United States, but all over the world."
"He has been a dedicated public servant who could have made a lot more money outside of government than inside, but he stayed."
"And now we are at a point where members of Congress, and yes, you, Rand Paul, are on a witch hunt. And the best I can say for Rand Paul is that he's being really honest. I mean, he has said now, over a period of years, he wants Anthony Fauci in a jail cell. He has said it out loud. He wants him in a jail cell. That's the point of this hearing. That's why they're doing this."
"They want to take something that Anthony Fauci says and then claim it amounts to perjury, and they want to prosecute him, they want to convict him, and they want to throw him in prison. That's the point of this hearing. There is no other point of this hearing."
"There could be. I mean, there are things they could certainly ask him, but he can't answer, because if he answers, it doesn't matter what he says. You know, if you can prosecute somebody for frickin' seashells on the beach shore, then you could certainly prosecute somebody for what they say in a congressional hearing."
"And that's the climate we're in. We are in a Senator Joseph McCarthy climate, where there is such fear that people have, and legitimate fear, that they'll end up in prison for what they say, no matter what it is, if they are on the wrong side of somebody in Congress or the administration, that they have been silenced. And that's where we are right now."
"We are in Senator Joseph McCarthy territory. And the idea that you have to watch this man take the Fifth Amendment, and again, I will say that I disagree personally with some of the CDC decisions. Absolutely, I did. That said, he's a public servant who worked for us and saved lives for decades. And we are turning him into what Rand Paul wants to be, a criminal. And Rand Paul has a political agenda, and it is prevailing here."
"Watching Rand Paul order security to throw Anthony Fauci's lawyer out of that hearing was unbelievable to me."
"We are in a dark period of America," he concluded.
More public figures need to speak out like this immediately. Republicans are scapegoating Fauci because they can't handle the truth that Donald Trump was directly responsible for COVID-19 getting as bad as it did. He downplayed it from the very start, undermined experts, and spread dangerous misinformation.
Meanwhile, Dr. Fauci did everything in his power to save as many lives as possible, urging Americans to wear masks, socially distance, and treat the coronavirus like the deadly threat it was. He's an American hero.
If anyone should be hauled in front of Congress to testify about their behavior during the pandemic, it's Trump.
Please ❤️ and share if you think the world needs to hear this message!

There was plenty senators could have asked Dr. Fauci about what lessons he learned, and the country should, from the COVID pandemic. Instead they engaged in an obvious attempt to demonize and entrap the 85-year-old, who received the Medal of Freedom from a Republican POTUS for the work he did to save millions here and abroad from the AIDS epidemic.
This was not about public health. It was about one senators longstanding vendetta.

If you’re watching Fauci’s testimony remember that science isn’t an ideology. It doesn’t lie. It evolves. COVID-19 was a once-in-a-century pandemic caused by a brand-new virus, recommendations changed because the evidence changed. That’s not deception. That’s how it works.
