Now posted on the @DailyMemphian preps page: When Canon Day takes the mound for Houston’s baseball team, it’s typically as the starting pitcher. In Friday’s Region 7-6A win over Bartlett, he was the Mustangs’ closer. dailymemphian.com/section/sp…

Houston holds off Bartlett in Region 7-6A opener

Houston started league play with a victory, thanks in large part to a poised performance from junior quarterback Canon Day.

Huge game for Canon Day in the win over Bartlett. 12 of 17 passing for 187 yards and three touchdowns along with 164 yards on 16 carries and another touchdown. Most importantly, zero turnovers. Canon is really turning into something special.
