God bless you abundantly for this your submission, ma'am @khykheloormuur What always baffles me is how some people on social media are always quick to project their own realities on every other person's online. Our realities are completely different! For instance now, I come from a very closely knitted family. We all always look out for one another. In this city where I'm currently living, there are no fewer than 14 of my family members (cousins) who are living in the same city as me. Altogether, there are more than 30 of us that are living in the UK alone and spread across various cities; it is like that for US, Canada and Sweden too. Whenever one of us wants to do a thing, the person is never alone; we will all rally around to support that person. So imagine me going home and not visiting any of my cousin's parents. That is definitely never going to happen. When I go home, I'll touch the places of my uncles and aunts whose kids are also abroad. Am I supposed to visit them empty handed? No now. When I travel to their places, am I going to sleep in their houses with my driver too? If my mum was still alive, I'd never have had any reason lodging in a hotel anytime I go home. I'd have happily sleepover at no cost at all at my parent's house. My dad was the only one at home after my mum passed away, and we had to allow him to remarry for companionship. If I go to my dad's house, I won't be very comfortable and the woman with him won't be comfortable either, so why can't we save one another from that stress when we can? That was the reason I always lodge in hotels whenever I travel home. It is not like I like to spend lavishly. Yesterday, I read what a mutual of mine said about his aunt who has been abroad for over 30years but he never contacted her until his dad who came visiting asked him to do so. My family isn't like that. We may not be super rich as a larger family, but there is plenty of love within our family. Our grandma raised all her children and grandchildren with love, and she taught us all to look out for one another always. Going to any of my uncle's or aunt's places while on holiday to Nigeria and me giving them money or material gifts isn't because they are poor or hungry, it is just a way of me expressing love that our matriarch raised us all with. If someone says he spent a certain amount of money during his trip back to Nigeria, I just don't understand how that is supposed to be generating so much fuss in other people's heads. But we just like to make noise over what isn't our problem in the first place. People that said they spent $20k on a trip to Naija didn't come to you to ask for urgent 2k after they come back from their trip, so why are people taking paracetamol over someone else's headache? You can go home on a £1000 budget, but you don't have to be dismissive of another person who says he went with a £5000 budget.

This is an indictment of you, sir. Ask her to come and pay the same school fees here in Nigeria, and see whether she wouldn't enjoy the same service. She also said she spent an extra two years in school because of strikes, which this administration has eliminated. Nelfund is a game changer.

For those who cannot read it all or who read it but couldn't understand, this is the summary. Aisha is a 16 year old girl staying with her mother in Borno. The first accused person who is the only person convicted by the court and sentenced to 14 years imprisonment is her neighbour in Borno named Lami, a Christian. Now the gist is that Aisha had earlier been convinced from her school at the age of 13 by a teacher to leave her house and travel to Jos where she was converted to Christianity and spent a year. She eventually returned home to her mother after feeling homesick. Her mother then handed her over to Lami to help get her back to school and enroll her in WAEC. The same Lami also convinced Aisha who is now 16 to return to Jos and continue her Christian training without the knowledge of her mother. Lami enabled and sponsored Aisha to return to Jos while pretending not to know of her whereabouts when her mother was desperately searching for her. As a matter of fact, Lami was purchasing the household properties of Aisha's mother which she sold to enable her raise money to search for her daughter. Once again, Aisha felt homesick and returned to Borno to meet her mother after a year. Aisha then opened up to her mother about everything including the things Lami has been buying for her to enable her stay in Jos. Aisha's mother confronted Lami about it and it caused an uproar. The court found only Lami guilty of abducting Aisha and forcing her to convert to Christianity. She was sentenced to 14 years imprisonment amongst others.
I came online yesterday to find many tags on my handle asking for my opinion on this case. My first reaction was to read from a reliable not a sensational source or get a copy of the charge sheet and the judgement. I have now read the judgment and agreed with my brother @Chinaluemmanuel to share our thoughts on it, against what’s already in public circulation.

That is one of the most Band A of all Band As in Lagos o. There used to be light almost 24/7 in that place all these years o. The tariff increased x7 in this administration and for the first time light is bad in the area. And twitter wild animals are talking about how awesome more taxes and removing subsidies are when the quality of everything they’ve already removed subsidy and we are now paying x10 for has only gotten worse
Magodo hasn’t had light for two weeks now
