Yesterday , I drove from Madya Kailash to Thoraipakkam via OMR.
In the name of development what has @cmrlofficial done to the roads and how is this acceptable @chennai_Highway ? Where is road safety norms , Indian road congress recommendations on safe roads?
What are our politicians doing about it? Is it okay for people to suffer? Your silence means only one thing - you have let down the the people of this state.
Asking for a safe pothole free road is a privilage these days?

The Madras High Court has reportedly dismissed K.N. Nehru’s review application, leaving its earlier direction to the DVAC to register an FIR unchanged.
With the FIR already registered, the investigation should proceed in accordance with law. Arrest is not automatic and must be supported by legally sufficient grounds.
Hope the DVAC conducts a thorough and impartial investigation and takes appropriate legal action based on the evidence, regardless of who is involved.

It’s happening, they themselves are claiming TVK in many areas. My area Panchayat President who is a Pakka Fraud and grafter. So much corruption he has done was previously in DMDK then in a single day when Vijaykanth sir expired he just changed his board to DMK. Until May 10 his office board was with DMK flag , after that just in a week it is converted to TVK with Vijay anna photo. Whenever I am seeing that I feel so much anger. How he is just being so corrupted claiming himself as TVK party member…. Now he is planning for Local Body Assembly. Pls @TVKVijayHQ be very cautious in selecting your members for local body elections. These culprits are just intruding into your party and they are the most hatred persons in society.
Even during the monsoon season, when the weather is already bad, they just won’t listen despite repeated warnings not to put up banners. Looks like they’ll only stop after another tragedy happens. 🤦♂️

Layoffs are becoming common.
The least the government can do is not tax severance pay, benefits, and full and final settlement.
Individual taxpayers contribute more than corporates in the country.
This is all the more significant given that only about 2% of the population pays income tax.
Taxpayers don’t get proportional benefits from the government.
Not taxing severance pay would put more money in the hands of affected employees.
This is the least the government can do for taxpayers.
The Indian government knows exactly how to find you when you earn money.
Earn well? Pay up to 30% income tax, plus cess. Spend what’s left? Pay GST and other taxes. Buy an Appliances, house, a car, or even fuel? More taxes.
But the moment you lose your job, you’re largely on your own. Your EMIs won’t stop. Your family’s expenses won’t stop. Yet there’s no universal unemployment safety net to protect you.
The government wants a share of your success but takes little responsibility for your financial survival.
You’re treated like a revenue source when you’re employed and almost invisible when you’re unemployed.
What exactly are hardworking taxpayers getting in return?
A country cannot keep demanding taxes like a developed economy while leaving its citizens to face unemployment without comparable financial security.
This isn’t taxation alone. It’s a failure of accountability too.
When @makkal_saatchi introduced the tagline “Whether it is ₹50 or ₹10 crore, every bribe leaves a trail,” a few people asked, “₹10 crore corruption is possible, but will anyone really take ₹10 crore as a bribe?”
Yes, we have already seen ₹10 crore bribery allegations in a police cybercrime case. Now, another ₹5 crore bribery allegation involving an IG has surfaced in Tamil Nadu.
When the very people responsible for enforcing the law are accused of corruption, how can the public trust the system?
If the police system is honest and accountable, half the country’s problems can be solved.
This issue has come to light. Under a different regime, who knows? That ₹5 crore might have been shared among officials even higher up the police hierarchy, and the public might never have known about it.

This is what happens when you randomly appoint people to party positions without proper background checks. Political appointments should be based on credibility, integrity, and competence, not influence or personal connections.
When a party compromises on these principles, it gradually loses its credibility and becomes the very system it once promised to change.
Eventually, it will end up no different from the DMK.
