An early morning shower is possible Saturday before 8 AM, then the rest of the day will be windy and colder!
Saturday night turns especially cold, with a freeze likely for many inland. #fox61
š Heads up for any Friday night football games. Gusty downpours and embedded storms are possible 6 PM - 10 PM.
Rain on Friday will come in two parts. One round moves in on Friday morning. There will be a break in the afternoon, turning warmer & more humid.
The main concern is Friday evening when another round of showers, along with a few embedded thunderstorms, is possible. Even showers without thunder could produce gusts of 35ā50 mph. This bears watching with fully leafed trees. #fox61

The norāeaster lashing Nantucket with wind and rain this weekend has uncovered the remains of a shipwreck along the islandās south shore.
The fragment is likely from the 19th century schooner Warren Sawyer, a wooden ship that wrecked near Miacomet Beach on December 22, 1884.

9/26 1 PM: Rain and rumbles of thunder this afternoon. The wind is not as strong as it was this morning. Then, as the storm gets closer later tonight into Sunday morning, I expect another surge of strong winds.
