Composite satellite products for GOES-East and GOES-West Mesoscale Sectors (1 & 2) are now functional in @RadarScope. This includes True/False Color and Split Difference products that previously weren't available in these sectors.

Our radar will be out of service for approx. 7 days beginning 2/9/2023. Alternate available nearby radars include KFSD (NWS Sioux Falls), KDMX (NWS Des Moines), KEAX (NWS Kansas City), KTWX (NWS Topeka), KUEX (NWS Hastings), and KLNX (NWS North Platte).

❗KGSP Radar Update❗ Technicians determined that the "bull gear", which is the primary gear responsible for turning the antenna, has failed & will be a major repair. The est. return to service is Feb. 6. We appreciate @NEXRADROC for assisting our technicians with this repair!

Beginning today, the Northern Indiana Doppler radar will out of service for approximately 2 weeks. This is part of the Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) and will give the radar a new lease on life. For more: weather.gov/iwx/September202…

Techs have identified the issue with KTLX, and have the replacement part on hand. They will be working to get that replaced as soon as possible. We don't have an estimate of when that might be.

The OKC KTLX radar is not operational, but technicians are working to restore it as quickly as possible. No estimate for when it may be back in service, but trust us - we want it back just as much as you do.
