Patrick Stewart was a passionate defender of women's rights and spoke up tirelessly about domestic abuse, after witnessing his dad beating his mum when he was little. If there's an afterlife, I hope she's giving him a huge hug right now. She brought up the very best type of man❤️

A lesser known gem that Patrick Stewart starred in was Jeffrey. One of the first gay-themed films I watched as a teen. Stewart, a straight man, played the role of a gay man in NYC with a profound fear of acquiring AIDS so perfectly.

RIP Patrick Stewart. True legend. Captain Picard, Professor X and maybe the funniest TV cameo ever with Ricky Gervais on “Extras” as himself.
Patrick Stewart has sadly passed away at the age of 86.

This seems like a great time to reshare my favourite Sir Patrick Stewart performance, ‘What has the ECHR ever done for us?’ It’s just perfect in every possible way … including the ending 😂😂😂 RIP. 🎥 The Guardian

RIP Patrick Stewart. What an actor. I still can’t believe he agreed to do this scene. And he didn’t even mind when I ruined every take. Legend.

Sir Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen knew each other for nearly 50 years before becoming close friends on the set of X-Men. Around that time, Sir Patrick passed on the role of Gandalf, which his good friend would go on to make his own. In a later interview he stated “My dear friend Ian McKellen became a living legend with his performance as Gandalf in The Lord Of The Rings.” The two will appear together one final time in Avengers: Doomsday. ❤️

RIP Sir Patrick Stewart 🙏 Thank you for all the Star Trek stuff: engage. This is what PS said to NPR's RM in 2023: Rachel Martin, "Do you believe in God? Do you believe in things that are bigger than us like that?" Patrick Stewart, "Yes. Bigger than us - yes. I believe in presence." Rachel Martin, "Does your feeling about transcendence and spirits - does that extend to a possible afterlife?" Patrick Stewart, "I don't know what happens, but I have a very, very deep and acute feeling that there is more than this life that we lead" "But I know, in some people who I've had relationships with, this has been an obsessive set of feelings that they have - fearful and harmful feelings. And instead, I am determined to see them differently. But with - by simply" Rachel Martin, "You mean seeing the end of life differently?" Patrick Stewart, "Yes, as a closure of a chapter, not the end of existence. And I believe in that."
