Justin Thomas has a new putter in the bag this week: "Using a totally new putter this week. I literally texted Cameron's guys and said, Just give me Cam's putter. I've been watching him make putts for a pretty good amount of time now, and I've always thought it looks really good, so I was like, I want Cam Young's putter." Thomas received the putter on Monday. Four days later, he's two off the current lead at Truist.

Rory opens his defense with a 5-under 67. The last time Rory shot 67 or better in the first round of the Masters was 2011 when he shot 65 for a share of the lead. It’s only Rory’s third opening round in the 60s.

Can Rory McIlroy defend this week? With his Masters win last year, Rory joined an elite club of Masters champions and 1 of 6 to complete career grand slam. A win this year & he joins another elite group of Masters champs to win back to back tournaments: Jack, Faldo, Tiger

My takeaway from Scottie’s interview: there’s not more to Scottie Scheffler. He is exactly who he appears to be. He’s not complicated. He lives a simple life and loves it. He’s the best golfer in the world, and yet he’s the only one not impressed by that. It’s remarkable.

Ludvig Åberg is my pick to win the Masters this year. In his first two starts he’s finished 2,7! He’s been in contention a lot lately. Has all the tools. Is it his time?
