You can't examine objective quality based off of how much you enjoyed Thing.Entire community got renewed after Epic ruined the game. I'd say about 50 to 60% of the concurrent playerbase started in Ch3-5.

No, @Fortnite, this isn’t something you can simply ignore, hoping we’ll eventually grow quiet and move on.
And, Fortnite, I wouldn’t be surprised if you tried implementing some middle-ground solution or compromise, but let me be clear: that is not what we are asking for. We don’t merely want the new movement modified. We want the old movement back. We want the movement we spent seven years playing with, the movement that became second nature to us, the movement we grew up with, built memories around, and ultimately fell in love with.
We will not stop asking for it. Fortnite is in desperate need of the magic it once had, and bringing back the movement that defined years of our experience would be a step in the right direction.
Bring Back Old Movement.

Some are fixable, while others are just inherent to motion matching. I really hope Epic brings back the OG animations (state machines) in Chapter 8.

Around chapter 4. Epic stopped seeing Fortnite as a video game but more as a platform for UEFN metaverse and a perfect place to demo Unreal engine features. The core battle royale is seemingly no longer top priority.
This change in direction has led to
-Transition from state machines(Og anims) to Motion matching(Ch5+ anims)
- UI redesign,removal of rarities, etc
- Continuous push of the discovery system
- Shift in art style.

Yea and it’s not nostalgia you are the cause of epics laziness saying just adapt is bull shit like if they can get away with it they’ll do it it’s like sports games people keep buying the same slop every year so they keep releasing the same game every year
The left is terrible for the game. This entire community is filled with anti intellectual, artistically bankrupt hypercasuals and ball & gun gamers who know nothing about game design or art direction.

the thing that sucks (and i realized this back in chapter 3) is that when epic makes a stupid ass decision like this, they will never change it, reverse it, even just address it
