The thing is i don’t think that the Raimi movies are the be all end all and that nothing could ever be better than them
I just don’t think any of the subsequent films have achieved that

No, @Fortnite, this isn’t something you can simply ignore, hoping we’ll eventually grow quiet and move on.
And, Fortnite, I wouldn’t be surprised if you tried implementing some middle-ground solution or compromise, but let me be clear: that is not what we are asking for. We don’t merely want the new movement modified. We want the old movement back. We want the movement we spent seven years playing with, the movement that became second nature to us, the movement we grew up with, built memories around, and ultimately fell in love with.
We will not stop asking for it. Fortnite is in desperate need of the magic it once had, and bringing back the movement that defined years of our experience would be a step in the right direction.
Bring Back Old Movement.
Here is a thread of Fortnite movement "issues" I've noticed (updating as I find more).
Some are fixable, while others are just inherent to motion matching. I really hope Epic brings back the OG animations (state machines) in Chapter 8.

1. when changing directions, the character fully leans like is lost balance and the legs start scrambling.
Around chapter 4. Epic stopped seeing Fortnite as a video game but more as a platform for UEFN metaverse and a perfect place to demo Unreal engine features. The core battle royale is seemingly no longer top priority.
This change in direction has led to
-Transition from state machines(Og anims) to Motion matching(Ch5+ anims)
- UI redesign, removal of rarities, etc
- Continuous push of the discovery system
- Shift in art style.

Yea and it’s not nostalgia you are the cause of epics laziness saying just adapt is bull shit like if they can get away with it they’ll do it it’s like sports games people keep buying the same slop every year so they keep releasing the same game every year

There is not a single core mechanic Fortnite has changed in 3 years that improved the game
Mais plus j'y réfléchis plus je me dis que j'étais complètement TARÉ à défendre cette MERDE en 2024
Les mecs qui demandaient les anciens mouvements mais ils avaient totalement la vision hein, meeeeeeerde...

the thing that sucks (and i realized this back in chapter 3) is that when epic makes a stupid ass decision like this, they will never change it, reverse it, even just address it
playing this game since 2017 has been like watching someone you care about slowly die
Found another one. idk why they gave all characters a generic wobbly run.
@Fortnite @JustTeddii @EpicTofuChris @TimSweeneyEpic pls fix

The movement is deadass a huge reason I dislike this game now. Looks like a knockoff of itself
Literally EVERYTHING looks worse with the new movement animations, from building to running with no gun. Bring back pre-chapter 5 movement animations @Fortnite

Honestly, the people who liked the look of Fortnite from Chapter 5 through 7 are NOT real OGs, as far as I’m concerned. Fortnite is supposed to be vibrant wonk, cartoony, and have a unique aesthetic that’s how people recognize the game. THATS whats maked it FUN

This would be too good for Epic to do
#FORTNITE ZERO BUILD REMOVAL IN 2027?!
An alleged Fortnite insider claims Epic Games wants Fortnite to focus more on building again, potentially forcing Zero Build players to improve their building skills.
Epic is reportedly willing to risk losing Zero Build players to rebuild.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
There is no official announcement or confirmation from Epic Games of plans to remove Zero Build in 2027.
