This is what @grok thinks I look like aura maxing as a tech recruiter. I think it pulled images from my younger self. LOL. "Here's you, aura maxing hard as a technical recruiter:"

Nobody has ever Trusted HR
Nobody Trusts HR, but Executives Swing the Ax Leapsome data shows 81% of Human Resources (HR) leaders believe they champion employees in business decisions, but only 54% of individual contributors fully trust that pitch. The rot comes from an impossible job description: protect the workers, then deliver layoffs drawn up in the corner office. Author Mark C. Crowley wants someone at the top owning employee well-being and every manager’s boss answering for it, so HR can quit playing referee. fastcompany.com/91611952/hr-…

So much this:
Workplaces should let their introverted employees do their jobs in peace. Not everyone wants to take part in every team-building activity, attend every office event, or socialize with coworkers after work. Some of us just want to show up, do our jobs, get paid, and go home

Not Big Tech, but still large layoffs.
🛒 Kroger plans to cut its corporate workforce by approximately 3,000 jobs over the next three years

Similar to Nike. I wonder if there is any connection on how the two operate. 🤷‍♂️
MORE DISNEY LAYOFFS HR and tech. Voluntary early-retirement for directors. Chief Creative Officer calls cuts “extremely painful but necessary. We have them slotted for many more. Don’t forget, this is the company that chose to announce layoffs with a Mrs. Incredible letterhead

"50% of all entry-level Lawyers, Consultants, and Finance Professionals will be completely wiped out within the next 1–5 years."
Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei says: "50% of all entry-level Lawyers, Consultants, and Finance Professionals will be completely wiped out within the next 1–5 years." Over 47 minutes, he breaks down who makes it through and why. That's the gap between passively watching AI eat your field and turning into the person companies can't afford to lose. Watch the video. Poor management decisions.
Many of you are surprised to see Nike $NKE stock perform terribly, but I'm not. I'm saying this as a recruiter, not some financial analyst. They shifted from trying to hire the best talent around to being purely performative in the market with too much emphasis on DEI. I know a few folks I'm close with at competitors of mine who had Nike as a client, and anyone who's recruited for them knows hiring the best people wasn't the priority for a long time. Nike lost their way, which is depressing because they were my favorite brand growing up, especially since Kobe Bryant was so influential in my life. Brands don't fall off overnight. It starts years earlier with who they decide to hire.
