In a few months, all of this will be gone - forever.  This is architectural and cultural vandalism in the guise of a ‘gift to the town’. Please sign our petition- link inside 👇🏼 #Southport beckytallentire.substack.com…

Is anyone interested in buying a load of laser discs? I know that not many people have players, but then not many people are selling them. If interested please DM me. RTs are also appreciated.

The only thing I have to say on the 25th anniversary is what Hunter S Thompson said in the aftermath. There's been few things said more prescient than the party's over. For someone like me who partied like hell in the 90's, 21stC has been very different. The party is still over.

Reform. As slippery as a buttered otter. Put that on the side of a bus you shower of grubby spivs.
Verbatim went undercover in Reform. Nigel Farage has some very serious questions to answer 👇

Some people died, yes, okay, many millions, but most of them were economic cul-de-sacs who contributed far more to growth in their suffering than they ever could have in health.

Worth pointing out of course that the obesity crisis has been and will continue to be hugely profitable, and at both ends, from food-processing plant to pharmaceutical solution.
AI will do to minds what the decline in manual labor did to bodies. The privileged few will keep exercising their minds with literature, art and science, just like they kept exercising their bodies despite escalators, elevators and desk work. The many will suffer something akin to the obesity crisis but for the mind.

Dolly Parton, the beloved global entertainment icon who sold more than 100 million records and whose songwriting prowess and sure-handed approach to her career reshaped the face of country music, popular music, and the entertainment industry at large, has died. 🕊️

Today we mourn the loss of a true sporting icon, Sir Billy Boston, who has passed away surrounded by his family. Rugby League’s first knight, a Wigan legend, and "Everybody's Hero," his legacy on and off the field will endure for eternity. Rest in peace, Sir Billy. 🍒⚪️

This got a fair amount of traction, so I thought I would start a petition. Please share this as much as you can and see how much support this can get. Introduce a price cap for National League North/South tickets - Sign the Petition! c.org/ghG5whKKTN via @UKChange
A @NL_Enterprise price cap on match tickets needs to come in at £20. Anything more than that is pure greed. 'fan-owned' clubs like Chester also charge over £20. It isn't just greedy owners.

Cape Verde was a great story. Truly great. But 2 weeks after, football doesn't give a fuck, less so after 1, 2 or 4 years. If Mauritius, Mozambique, Mali do the same, great, but for 99% of fans, 99% of the time, across the world, nobody cares. If France, Italy, Germany, England, Spain, Netherlands, Portugal boycott a World Cup, it's automatically invalid. It's just the truth. Likewise, a club World Cup without any of Europe's top 25 clubs is invalid. Nobody is watching Inter Miami v Boca Juniors except in markets that simply don't generate revenue or global interest. UEFA should immediately take over global law making ( UEFA replace FIFA 4 votes in a new IFAB with the 4 home nations continuing holding the other 4 votes). Europe has paid football's bills for 150 years. It does not need to vote for a man in an island of 100,000 to hold the game to random because FIFA are giving him 20 mil. I'm half English, half Barbadian. One has paid its football dues, the other hasn't, so the other cannot and must not hold the balance of power. When two thirds of football nations fill their stadiums, support grassroots football, create a pyramid, have women's teams, find kids, then their vote is equal to a European powerhouse. Not a day before. Time for UEFA to secede from FIFA FIFA needs UEFA. UEFA doesn't need FIFA.
