AMC (+theatrical) has survived world wars and numerous economic downturns for over 100yrs. Hell, they couldn’t even bankrupt $AMC during Covid when their doors were literally closed! Netflix tried hard, and they failed. #AMCtotheMoon 🚀
Netflix is evolving right before our eyes. Mass layoffs, including top executives. Yes, a company obsessed with algorithms, data and AI is downsizing, while suddenly and without warning, reporting theatrical box office numbers. This is a larger tell than you think.
Perhaps Netflix is discovering something Hollywood has known for a century… technology can predict behavior, but it can’t manufacture cultural relevance. That’s theatrical. Always has been. And they’re finally acknowledging that.
Ironic because Netflix spent two decades convincing Hollywood that the theatrical model was becoming obsolete… and now it’s experimenting with the very system it helped undermine.
I am not going away @vladtenev @DanGallagher
AMC Entertainment does not consent to Robinhood creating Stock Tokens to replicate AMC shares in the United States (the SEC requires you to get our consent, or failing that, at least with us to stand down). They are fake, synthetic shares, which could impact our capital structure.
AMC should control our financial destiny, not Robinhood.

Made a Perfect Visualization of $AMC INCOME STATEMENT
$AMC has 3 Revenue Flows Admissions , Food and Beverage , Other (merchandise) totaling $1.596 Billion
You can see all the Expenses taken out in the Next Section
And what totals net is the “Operating Income” of $238 Million
The Total other Expenses on the Last Section is what eats up that $238 Million to give a $11 Million net loss
But if you remove that $109 Million Non Cash item of Bifurcated derivatives on bonds
$AMC came in with $129 Million in Profit

All eyes are watching / if the plan all along was to counterfeit the stock - you better change that SEC registered brand name and logo. If you don’t have company authorization, which is required, shareholders will have a CIVIL case against Robinhood for the infringements- that’s a case for every shareholder - Bravo for $AMC shareholders! counterfeit and we’ll see
You on the steps - Danny and his team have no CIVIL court experience! You think you have exemption to counterfeit trademarks?!?! 😂😂 keep chirping boys. Not even Bernie Madoff would have taken such risks from his 17th floor!

I want to extend my highest praise to Paul Atkins, Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, for the wise decision — perhaps a better characterization being the brilliant decision — he announced today on behalf of the SEC about Stock Tokens.
The SEC granted a five year period of experimentation on this topic in U.S. markets. In doing so, the SEC laid out some inviolate and unequivocally annumerated conditions:
The SEC highlighted that “Investor Protection Is Not Optional.” The SEC clearly laid out that even as it puts forward an “Innovation Exemption,” the SEC has an implicit right to govern on this issue. This means that at least within the U.S., there is an underpinning that appropriate regulatory bodies can regulate
as they think is needed. I believe that over the last full century, investors have best been protected when U.S. regulatory bodies have been involved and U.S. securities laws have been applicable. Thank you, SEC.
The SEC also emphasized that there can be “No Synthetics.” Any such Stock Tokens must carry full voting and dividend rights. No synthetics is such a vital and basic concept. Thank you, SEC.
Also of crucial importance, the SEC mandated that “Issuers Can Object.” It said that issuers of stock must have the opportunity to object and prevent their security from being trading on a Tokenized Securities Venue if companies so choose. This puts companies in charge of their own securities and capital structures, not brokerage houses. Thank you, SEC.
I applaud what the SEC did today. Bravo!
And @vladtenev and @dangallagher I note that at Robinhood you accepted and supported the SEC’s ruling today. I call on you now to adhere to the exact same standards internationally. How hypocritical would it be if Robinhood’s stock tokens abroad were to differ materially from stock tokens in the U.S. on these hyper-important matters of investor protections, synthetics and issuer objections.

Bottom line @vladtenev and @brian_armstrong You don’t have authorization- and you won’t be getting it - so Today’s exemption/ “clarity” puts you clearly at risk. For everyday you keep infringing on trademarks - using the company’s SEC registered logo and brand name- The shareholders will have the right to a civil case not class action but civil - look it up if you’re confused. You commit a federal crime against the shareholder’s property - it’s a civil punitive case not class action - what do you think happens then? Because it’s a case for every shareholder that’s a lot of cases. Consider yourselves hereby warned in advance! Don’t be retarded - you’ll risk everything, what for? So you can survive one more day ? time to deal with your synthetic garbage or Civil Cases will be coming like multiple hurricanes hitting land all at once! $AMC $GME it has always been BETRAY or BE Betrayed !!!

More positive for true AMC stock owners than for Robinhood’s current tokenized product. The SEC exemption explicitly requires tokens that confer the same rights as actual shares (voting, dividends, ownership) and gives issuers a chance to object to third-party versions. Robinhood’s existing Stock Tokens do not meet that standard today.38
Robinhood’s current Stock Tokens (sold only outside the US) are structured as debt securities issued by a Jersey entity. They track AMC’s price and pass through dividend economics, and they are 1:1 collateralized with real shares held in custody. Holders do not own the underlying AMC shares, cannot vote, and currently cannot redeem the tokens for actual stock. AMC CEO Adam Aron has publicly called them synthetic equity and demanded they stop. Robinhood announced three days ago that 1:1 share redemption and voting rights are “coming,” but those features are not live yet.17
The exemption therefore does not green-light Robinhood’s existing product for US on-chain venues. It does, however, create a clearer US path for platforms that upgrade to real tokenized shares with full rights. That is strategically useful for Robinhood long-term if they follow through on their announced changes.
For actual AMC shareholders the exemption is more protective. It bars synthetics that use the company’s ticker without conferring ownership or appearing on the cap table, requires issuer notice and an objection window for third-party tokens, and insists that any tokenized version carry the same economic and governance rights as the registered stock. That directly addresses the core complaint AMC and many retail holders have raised. It does not automatically create extra supply of AMC shares; compliant tokens must represent real ownership. Additional 24/7 venues could add liquidity, but only for instruments that treat holders as actual owners rather than counterparties to an IOU.

Nope. Profitability alone doesn’t determine valuation. There are profitable companies trading at enormous valuations and unprofitable companies valued on future expectations. Markets are forward-looking. If AMC’s improving trajectory matters only after profitability arrives, then the market isn’t pricing the future its pricing the past. Thanks though.
Replying to @SteveRyanCP24
AMC isn't profitable... They need to turn a profit. Every year they lose 100's of million of dollars.
Stocks are valued based on future growth. Where will AMC be in 2-5 years? Until they can show that. Expect a depressed valuation.

A lot of retail investors misunderstood today’s SEC announcement.
After reading it, Adam Aron’s statement was exactly what I was thinking: “No synthetics” and “issuers can object” are the key points.
This wasn’t simply the SEC giving Robinhood a green light to do whatever it wants.
