With the WHO's 2030 viral hepatitis elimination target fast approaching, now is the time to turn ambition into action.
Despite remarkable scientific progress, viral hepatitis remains a major public health challenge. Too many people are still undiagnosed, barriers to prevention and care persist, and gaps in data continue to limit effective action.
Elimination will only be possible through collaboration across healthcare professionals, researchers, policymakers, patient organisations, public health experts, and communities.
Through the EASL Viral HOPE Programme, EASL is bringing together research, policy, and education to accelerate progress. By supporting multicentre research grants, convening policy roundtables in Brussels, and delivering a dedicated conference, the programme aims to transform evidence into action and drive meaningful progress towards hepatitis elimination.
Together, we can build a future where viral hepatitis is no longer a public health threat. 💛
