Another threat for #flooding and severe weather in SoCal and the Deep SW. El Niño ramping up, with a big storm set to slam into the area over the weekend. 2 surges of moisture. One Friday from T.S. #Vance. But the big event is Sunday with atmospheric water vapor at 300-400%, up near 5+ standard deviations above the mean. Widespread 2-4” (Isolated higher amounts) on the hills/ mountains which will run off into dry/ desert areas and likely cause Flash #Flood issues.

Here are the latest daily color stripes for the Nino 3.4 sea-surface temperature anomaly. Time to update the color bar ... going from black through bright pink and then to?

Our actions will hardly make a dent if we don't reinvent global money to help us.
It’s us. Humanity caused climate change and massive environmental degradation and species extinctions. Only our actions can reverse the course of our hothouse planet trajectory. 🙏🏻🌡️🥵🔥😵🦺🥾🦤🦖🦕🪹🪸🌕🌪️💥🌊

Let’s zoom into the El Niño regions and see how they compare to 1997 (the event of record). This event is not only remarkably ahead, it’s also weighted further east! Big impacts coming to the US and Globe this winter! #elnino

Breaking News! Code UFB!!! It takes 2 weeks to confirm ocean sea surface temperatures and the long wait is finally over. The first day in recorded history with Nino 3.4 SST at or above 30.0°C is now officially on the record. October 7, 2026: 30.000°C. climatereanalyzer.org/clim/s…

Over 30 C (86 F) That's the water temperature in the Nino zone of the eastern Pacific Marine life will be suffocating in these temperatures A hotter and hotter ocean is a dead ocean and a dead ocean represents a dead planet And still its drill baby drill and logging millions of acres of forest

Yup
“GEN Z DOESN’T DRINK” “GEN Z DOESN’T DATE” “GEN Z DOESN’T BUY HOUSES” “GEN Z DOESN’T HAVE KIDS” “GEN Z DOESN’T SMILE” Maybe because: • They graduated into a pandemic • Job hunted into an AI apocalypse • Entered the housing market when rates hit 8% • Watched a world war start before they turned 25 • Got their first paycheck and lost 30% to taxes they’ll never see benefits from • Student loans kicked in the same month rent doubled • Were told to “just network” during two years of lockdown • Grew up on social media designed to make them feel worthless • Watched billionaires add trillions during COVID while they lost their jobs • Inherited a planet that’s literally on fire • Were promised the American Dream and handed the American Bill But yeah. It’s the avocado toast.

On 2.0°C watch. The global temperature anomaly for October 22nd was 1.94°C above the 1850-1900 IPCC pre-industrial baseline and set a new daily record. The Climate 8-Ball is hiding in the corner.

As expected, the Godzilla El Niño is increasing outgoing longwave radiation as the planet heats up, temporarily reducing the Earth Energy Imbalance. In other words, over the past 12 months the Earth has been heating at an average rate of about 1.15 million Hiroshimas per Day.

1. We are at 1.5C 2. Temperatures rose by 0.4C in the last decade 3. We will therefore hit 2C around 2036/2037 4. At 2C we will trigger the earth's carbon feedback systems and so further temperature increases will be unstoppable and billions of people will die as we pass 3C. There is only one way out - revolutions to force governments to create legally binding national assemblies made up of ordinary citizens selected randomly from the population to consider these facts, decide on policies to slash emissions to zero, and to give political legitimacy to these decisions by them having been made "by the people" - i.e., in the true sense of REAL DEMOCRACY.
Vindication of Hansen et al.: "The rate of global warming appears to have accelerated, rising from ∼0.05°C/decade between 1880 and 1970 to ∼0.19°C/decade between 1970 and 2010, and finally to ∼0.36°C/decade between 2010 and 2024 [...] The acceleration may be partly related to reductions in aerosol pollutants that previously masked a portion of greenhouse gas warming (@DrJamesEHansen et al. 2025)." Rectifications by media and certain vociferous scientific voices are in order.

#russia was so inspired by peace talks that it launched 21 missiles on #Kyiv , killed 2 people and wounded over 30. All night we were listening to the peace negotiations exploding outside our windows and shaking our homes.
