Saw "You Can See Everything" last night. Most people are convinced Holmes is a master manipulator, and maybe she is, but after watching the "Who's on First" scene I wonder if she simply doesn't have much going on upstairs/ lacks common sense. She also seemed to read off a sheet when describing to Nathan Fielder what "the device can do." Shouldn't she know that by heart? The documentary had me questioning the role of all the various "handlers" in her life as we seem to witness with Billy, but at the same time, I was aware that everyone in the documentary, including the audience, was being manipulated while also playing the role of the manipulator. Very very interesting look at the things humans are capable of.

Pretty much. As of the past few weeks, debt markets have almost entirely shut off access to money for any company that doesn’t have substantial revenue independent of AI data centers. SpaceX closed $40B of debt for GPUs, but we’re investment grade and have Starlink & launch revenue. That means the 200+ neoclouds are going to see guppy-level death and consolidation. Some will make it through, but not many.

By far the most plausible explanation, IMO
Really don't think I've seen a single person give an accurate reading of Elizabeth Holmes' whole deal: that she likes to psychically offload the complexities of life to controlling men so she can retreat and live her dream of playing scientist.

we've been shipping a lot of improvements to Frame lately, but one of the biggest is coming this week. one piece of feedback we've heard was that our dashboard was confusing. payments and compliance were grouped together in ways that made sense to us internally, but not always to the platforms using it. fair criticism... so we fixed it. the new dashboard gives each product a clearer home and makes it easier for us to introduce new features across financial services and compliance. we're rolling out launching v2 of our Transfers API. it supports bidirectional money movement across cards, bank accounts, and wallets. oh, and accounts on Frame can now hold balances too 👀 a lot more coming.

The Warriors’ inevitable downfall was set in motion by their mishandling of the Draymond-Poole incident, Steph’s overly passive leadership, and Kerr’s inability to evolve beyond small-ball philosophy.

the last ~week or so has been one of our harder stretches. there's a side to scaling a company that doesn't get talked about enough. some days you feel like you're on top of the world. other days you're doing everything possible to hold it all together...with a smile on your face so nobody knows just how hard the day really is. I've been doing this long enough to know that the weeks you struggle through often become the stories you remember most. we've been through plenty at Frame. every time, we've found a way forward. this time was no different. onward.

Most account shutdowns we've seen come down to four things: -Disputes creeping past card brand thresholds -Volume spikes nobody told underwriting about -Selling what you weren't approved to sell -Website doesn't match the application None are surprises. All fixable early.

I think it’s that things have been unsustainable. The inflation, the yields, the defaults… 44% of families making less than the cost of living while surviving on HELOC and credit card debt. I’m a neutral party and blame both Biden and Trump for the underlying problems. It’s not my place to give an opinion on if Trump is trying to do something to purposely harm people and the economy. I do think the administration realizes everything is unsustainable and is about to break and are going to take the steps necessary to push it over the edge and let Democrat Senate and House take the fall. It needs to happen though. Banks need to fail, businesses need to fail from debt, landlords need to fail. The consequences will be awful for people though, the longer the k shaped economy/consumer lasted the worse it was going to be though. As for the outcome? Difficult to predict.., housing crash, stock crash and bond crash a given… probably collectibles and can’t rule out precious metals since we’re in an asset bubble. Difficult to know what’s safe. Most businesses are waiting until after midterms to announce layoffs as well

During the pandemic, Peloton could not keep up with demand for its bikes. At one point it was spending $100 million just on air freight to get bikes to customers faster, and it committed $400 million to build its own factory. At the height of demand, management was forced to make many suboptimal decisions to satisfy customers. Today the customers are gone, but the suboptimal decisions (including the debt) remain. The same will happen in the AI space. Today you have insatiable demand. Nobody knows how long it will last.

It's not about pacing yourself for a 400m -- it is an all out sprint that gradually slows down. Working on 200m repeats will make the goal infinitely easier. Note: I ran track for 17 years lol. All the way through college at D1 program
