Wnt/Ror2 signaling stabilizes basal identity. Using lineage tracing, we show that Ror2 loss disrupts mechanotransduction (RhoA-ROCK1-YAP1) & chromatin accessibility, driving a basal-to-luminal transition in the mammary gland.

A new study reveals how mammary tissue limits oncogenic mutations through multiple layers of protection. Self-renewing cells create barriers to mutation spread, while local tissue remodeling and duct geometry help eliminate most mutant clones. A must-read!🔖
