A short thread on what I think is happening - for future ref. To be clear, I think this is a disaster, but I think it's happening. 1 - US reverts to pre WW1 international behaviour. Isolationism, tariffs, rejection of international treaty organisations, 'spheres of influence'.

Today I stood near my favourite bookstore and filmed what I saw. How beautiful Kyiv is. I want you to see that the city is alive.

This is all true. We have just a couple of years to stop this.

In 10 years, Zimbabwe will be gone. 1. In 10 years, all rural areas from Zambezi to Limpopo will be turned into mines that are owned, not by Zimbabweans but by the Chinese. 2. The day a mineral is discovered in your village is the day your ownership of your rural home ends. You are going to be chased away from your ancestral land like a dog by the Zimbabwean government acting on behalf of the Chinese and Zanupf heavyweights and resettled like rats, like what happened in Chiadzwa when diamonds were discovered. 3. Discovery of minerals does not just mean gold or diamond like what some people think. When a Chinese see a mountain, they will dismantle that mountain to extract valuable earth resources such as construction stone, metals and energy fuels that are exposed or trapped within geological formations. We saw this in Boterekwa and we see it happening throughout Zimbabwe. A classic example is Christmas Pass in Mutare which is in the process of being dismantled by the Chinese with the support of Zanupf evil men and women as we speak. 4. Also, Zimbabweans are going to die in large numbers as a result of water contamination caused by mining activities by the Chinese, working in cohoots with Zanupf mafias. There is going to be a well chareographed death of Zimbabweans due to contamination. 5. In the end, Zimbabweans will be living as sqauters in towns with no rural land. 6. That is why it is dangerous and against Gonzos advise to build mansions in rural areas, because soon these rural areas will be taken by the Chinese, who are Mngangagwas @edmnangagwa friends and pay him and Zanupf a monthly thithe (protection fee ) through the Chinese embassy @ChineseZimbabwe in Zimbabwe. 7. Lets also remember that if we dont fight the colonization of Zimbabwe by the Chinese @ChineseZimbabwe , we will not have anywhere to go. When Zimbabwe is finished, the Chinese will return to their country and Mngangagwa or his family will run away to Zambia where they trace their ancestory. What about @Gonzomuduri or Ruwende or Nkomo, where will we go?

This is just such bollocks (and looks like AI-written bollocks too). 80% of National Trust land is farmed. And have you ever taken a flight over England? And looked out the window? It’s literally all farmland, as far as the eye can see. Rewilding accounts for less than 1% of our land (and nearly all of the minuscule nature recovery we’re now seeing). In any case, the National Trust’s efforts for nature, which are exactly in line with the wishes of its members and of an overwhelming majority of the public, are nearly all being carried out in partnership with its thousands of tenant farmers. Thank goodness the National Trust is growing in popularity year on year in spite of repeated attempts at spreading misinformation like this.

Our land is dug, poisoned and left for dead. From Mutoko to Mazowe, Bindura to Chimanimani, our hills are gone, our rivers are dead, our sacred sites are destroyed. They come with papers from Harare and protection from above. They take gold, granite and lithium to China. We are left with pits, dirty water, cracked houses etc If this is investment, why are we poorer? If this is development, why are rivers dying? We did not fight for land to give it away. We fought to feed our children. Speak up and protect our land, or no land will be left...2030 my foot!

Russians dropped a FAB-3000 (aka 3000 kg aerial bomb) on an underground school that was built as a shelter for kids to study in 2025. People were receiving humanitarian aid there. Obliterated the school and almost 100 civilian people there. And it's crickets from all the "targeting civilians with bombs is genocide" crowd and international orgs barely said anything. In fact, we had more talking about a clearly staged russian show with a "martyr" 14 year old boy "tortured" by "Zelenskyy regime" that was proven to be utter bulshit on the spot. Good times.
This is what the Dzherelo underground school in Komyshuvakha looked like before and after the russian strike. Opened in October 2025, it had modern classrooms and stood 7–8 metres underground. But it was never designed to withstand a FAB-3000 bomb. russia struck while civilians were gathering to receive humanitarian aid. They knew people were there. 31 killed. 48 still missing.

The person who owns Book a Tailor is not a real tailor, nor have they worked in the tailoring industry for very long. They are better understood as a businessman. They developed a pattern with the factory based on early 2000s trends, which is to say slim suits. They then devised a way to market their products on Fox News, I suspect by giving away free products. The people who work at Fox News, such as Pete Hegseth, are also not very knowledgable about tailoring, but were lured in by the idea of receiving something for free. Thus, you have someone who doesn't know much about tailoring but led by profits and trends giving away free suits to people who also don't know much about tailoring but are led by the idea of not having to spend money. The result is bad tailoring. The people who cut and made this suit never saw Pete in person. They are the actual technicians (cutters, tailors). They are located in Thailand and simply make clothes by adjusting the block pattern according to Book A Tailor's requests. Thus, the technicians are far removed from this process.

"Sub" isn't a negative and never has been in this case. It's merely a geographic latitude indicator.. meaning "south of". If you feel cucked by geographic mapping indicators, that's on you.
Co-Africans, remember, in the Apartheid season, South Africa was grouped with the Middle East and North Africa, and then it was hastened into the 'sub-Saharan' category in the late 1990s when the independence thing happened and alas, were lured into seeking World Bank loans?

Regular first stop on the road north after an early morning departure from Harare. Boerewors rolls and malawi shandy because the coffee was made from Ricoffee and undrinkable, even in those days! Kids playing on the climbing frame and trying not to fall in the empty pool.....

Formally seized like in 2000? - pretty low. Potentially endless hassle with demanding neighbours and disgruntled workers, corrupt authorities and unreliable suppliers? - very high. Hence why a farm that would cost 20 mill in Kenya is going for less than 2 in Zim.

He is accurate that Chinese MAGA type men already go to Africa en masse, There’s a kind of Chinese male type who’s legit ex prison or kind of delinquent in China, from some loser tier 4 or tier 5 northern Chinese city, but who’s down to hustle, wants land, and has some basic micro industrial knowledge. Moves to Africa, marries a local, buys up land, gets rich as fuck, and just enjoys dominating in Africa. It reminds them of the China of the 1980s in a sense in how just hustling very hard leads to outsized rewards. But I suppose for Western MAGA Types, grokking your mind like that is impossible. You need a real actual colonization mentality, not just moaning on the internet everyday and expecting rewards from heaven.
