TRUMP on HIGH GAS PRICES: We’re making money like we’ve never made before. They’ll say: President Trump is bragging about all the money they're making while people are suffering at the pump. I don’t give a damn. We’re making a freaking fortune.

You’d wonder how disconnected from reality those in Departments setting budgets are. Real discontent brewing. Outside the bubble of advisors and old yes men, young in dressing rooms across the country are giving up hope. Parents angry. SME’s crippled. Old Lads : time 2 go

Anyone assuming T-rump acts in the interest of the US rather than acts in interest of his blind trust/deals for his children is working to the wrong assumption. Oil & gas investments by T-rump just means oil / gas is to rise, not fall. Billions to Kushner for deals. Corrupt.
US energy company execs have resigned in disgust as the Trump family is caught secretly expediting the funneling of $25 billion from a sanctioned Russian energy giant in exchange for allowing Russians to obtain a natural gas project in Alaska. According to investigations by The New York Times and Financial Times, Russia's Novatek allegedly concealed its financial involvement in the American project through a UAE-linked intermediary. Gentry Beach, a longtime Trump ally and close friend of Donald Trump Jr., signed an agreement with Novatek to pursue natural gas development in Alaska. Reuters documented the arrangement in February. Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin discussed this cooperation on the Alaska energy project with Trump's representatives, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, during negotiations involving Russia and Ukraine. The controversy deepened when Polar Train LNG's CEO, Joel Riddle, raised concerns about concealed Russian financing and possible sanctions violations. He departed in September, followed by other senior executives. The Financial Times also described discussions about a potential arrangement under which Novatek would provide technology for the Alaska project in exchange for sanctions relief benefiting its Arctic LNG 2 development in Siberia. According to The New York Times, Riddle and two other departing executives warned the Trump administration about the Russian financing and urged officials to investigate. The White House maintains that the project was mentioned only briefly and that no detailed discussions took place. There is no established evidence that Kushner or Witkoff knew about the allegedly concealed financing. Polar Train LNG denies wrongdoing. The central question is how a sanctioned Russian energy company became involved in a major American energy venture while Putin was discussing potential economic cooperation with Trump's representatives and a longtime Trump family associate was pursuing a separate agreement with the same Russian company. Selling Alaska to the Russians or selling Ukraine to the Russians - to the Trump family it's all the same. ft.com/content/e9cfbfbb-e65a…

A wild story: the CEO of a US energy company whose plans were discussed during the Witkoff-Kushner-Putin negotiations resigns. Why? He learned that his company's main investor is a sanctioned Russian company, not the UAE nytimes.com/2026/10/23/us/po…

Finally got round to reading this. In any other administration it's something that would be a top 5 history-making story, published shortly before an election!
The GRU hacked into Jared Kushner's iPhone. Dutch military intelligence (MIVD) then recruited a GRU spy who gave them access to the hacked phone. What MIVD discovered was that Kushner had access to two bank accounts --one Azerbaijani, the other Israeli --where Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Emirati ruler Mohammed bin Zayed deposited money. It sounds like a slightly far-fetched episode of "Slow Horses," but it's real. And it proves just how eye-poppingly corrupt this administration was and continues to be as its "special envoy" decides the fate of tens of millions in Europe in the Middle East. Simply incredible reporting by Matthew Cole, drawn from his new book on Kushner. vanityfair.com/story/jared-k…

BREAKING: AI token spending grew just +0.2% MoM in September, the lowest monthly growth since November 2025. This follows a +1.0% increase in August, marking two consecutive months of growth at or below +1.0%, the weakest streak in at least 18 months. This comes as falling prices for the most advanced AI models, alongside improvements in efficiency and quality, drive down the average price per million tokens processed by these models. Since July, overall AI token prices have declined -48%, to $0.65 per million tokens, the lowest since at least January 2026. Lower costs could unlock the next wave of AI adoption.

EU imports has surpassed eur 300billion since the war started. But of course these three tankers worth of diesel makes the US their biggest source of funding I guess. Got to love the internet.

Irish old councillors, around decades with no delivery, no experience and no new idea will kill off pools in Waterford without understanding there’s ways to keep costs down to make them viable. Lot’s of selfies. Very little delivery in Dungarvan and an awful lot of group think.
Do you want free heat for your pool? Tandem is looking for Irish pools, leisure centres, hotels and other sites with reliable year-round heat demand. We deploy the compute infrastructure. The heat it produces can be put to useful work. Tell us about your location.

Jesus. Taxpayers paid for this? ‘Important?’ What is the disconnect from reality going on in the old lads overseeing this? ‘Next up. No hugs. No human interaction. No care or compassion at all.’
🇮🇪 The Irish state has published an advert discouraging grandparents from hugging their grandchildren, as part of a campaign designed to promote "consent".

Limitations on the grid (grid constraints) also mean excess renewable power can't flow to batteries, because the grid is blocked. Any lost renewables are also compensated (paid for) directly to wind and solar developers. Once more, mot mentioned in an article on the topic.
