This is a complicated but, at the same time, a very simple story that is frustratingly and rarely given in full. The reappearance of bluefin tuna in UK seas is a result of climate change, as was their prior disappearance. Current warmer conditions due to climate change have seen the northwards movement of bluefin tuna in the northeast Atlantic. (Cooler conditions after the turn of the 20th century saw the disappearance of tuna as they moved southwards.) The abundance of bluefin tuna is due to a stock recovery due to a combination of ICCAT fishing quotas and recent successive years of favourable conditions for tuna recruitment in the Mediterranean.

Cernavoda nuclear plant: Romania to sink rock-laden barges in River Danube to keep 2nd reactor open. Danube's flow is at less than a third. Sunken barges could give another 4 or 5 days before reactor must shut down. yahoo.com/news/science/artic…
Only used a @modo_carcoop once to drive the gang to Grouse Grind in July. $50 on driving in 2 months. I prefer to bike/e-bike in the summer months. Cost-savings aren't the only reason we carshare, but got to admit it's a glaring incentive. #vancouver

Point of no return - Electric buses have gone from 12% to 56% of new city bus sales in Europe in just six years
Some nations are already at or close to 100%. Look at the Nordics, the Baltics, the Netherlands, Romania, Bulgaria and more.
In some cases the transition has been extremely rapid. Estonia went from 0% to 100% in two years.
At this rate, Europe's 2035 target of 100% zero emission bus sales could be reached as early as 2028.
High mileage and centralised operations mean electric buses are cheaper to operate than diesel.
Buses have fast fleet turnover so the shift will affect entire fleets far sooner than many expect, delivering quieter streets and cleaner city air.
Bravo Europe 🇪🇺!
The Paks Nuclear Power Plant in Hungary is shutting down due to record low water levels in River Danube. Water is almost 1ft below 2018 record, which was 1m below 100-yr min water level used in its design. It produces 14.7Gwh - 50% of Hungary's energy. world-nuclear-news.org/artic…

Renewables growth has surpassed expectations. Coal & gas use will trend down: fossil fuel importers are motivated to transition. Doubling down on oil & gas looks like a imprudent move at best. Future generations will not thank us for choosing profit over planet. #cdnpoli #bcpoli
