20 years. 20,000+ hours. 20+ people. The 20th anniversary In Gold We Trust report is here. 🪙 I genuinely don't know many documents with more capital, love and devotion poured into them. Everything on #Gold, #Silver, #Bitcoin, #Commodities, #SoundMoney, #AustrianEconomics — and yes, a few questionable sports analogies. Huge thanks to @MarkValek and to our brilliant guest authors: @izakaminska @michaeljmcnair @judyshel @LukeGromen @ctindale @BullionBrief @TedJButler and many more! 👉 ingoldwetrust.report/wp-cont…

Gold's slide since January has your feed calling it speculative again. Yet the bonds in your 60/40 have moved with your stocks since 2022, after two decades of moving against them, and that gets filed under noise. The chapter below calls it an asymmetry in perception.

China or the US, who relinks to gold first? Judy didn't hesitate....
Before she joined his team, @judyshel sent Treasury Secretary Bessent a Kwasi Kwarteng piece arguing China could be the first to relink its currency to gold. "It shouldn't be China. It better be the United States," she told @RonStoeferle in our IGWT 2026 interview.

Tony Deden’s words keep coming back to me as I watch #France: “Trust is not a soft asset. It is the core operating system of civilisation.” And operating systems usually don’t crash gradually.... 🇫🇷

Nothing about what's happening with China's trade surplus is normal. The surplus with the US (black) is back to pre-2025 levels, but it's the surplus with everyone else (blue) that's going through the roof. China is exporting its own weakness to the world. robinjbrooks.substack.com/p/…

The US ran a USD 2.0 trillion deficit in fiscal 2026, more than USD 200 billion above the year before, and half of that increase went to interest. This week @ghoekonom weighs BOTH of America's twin deficits, and asks which one deserves the worry. Read below.

Wise words from my pal @gave_vincent: "Unfortunately, France today is confronting a social crisis, an immigration crisis, an energy crisis, an economic crisis and a fiscal crisis. All this at a time when the French president is in office, but not in power. Still, however one cuts it, the images of burning town halls, looted stores, and youths throwing stones at the police will do little to improve the already battered image of France on global financial markets. Nothing that occurred this weekend seems to point the way towards a higher euro, or lower French bond yields."
