The water quality campaigner and former Undertones frontman @Feargal_Sharkey said the private dinner was outrageous and an example of โregulatory captureโ. He said: โIn my view here we have a clear case of regulatory capture โ industry and regulators, both of which are currently under enormous amounts of public scrutiny and criticism, acting in tandem trying to avoid anything remotely looking like transparency and/or accountability. This is pretty damned outrageous.โ He also called for the chairs to resign. โ at Manchester, England

Thereโs been a lot of discussion recently about #MrBatesVsThePostOffice & parallels with Windrush, Hillsborough & other miscarriages of justice. But we need more scrutiny on the solicitors & judiciary in these scandals.

One of the big issues with the discussion around FFP is how everyone only looks to own interests, and itโs focused on the top end - but itโs the pyramid that suffers the biggest effect.

I would never say Post Office management committed the criminal offence of false accounting, because thereโs no reason to think they were dishonest.
Only someone totally lacking in morals would prosecute someone for false accounting with zero evidence of dishonesty.
