@MLBFanSupport Curious. Why are games against Pittsburgh blacked out in Columbus? They don’t seem to share TV markets.

For every warrior with the courage to give their life protecting ours.

I just referred to a group of people as “the youth.”
@Em_Kathryn says I’m officially old.
Things I’m learning through church planting:
Mass communication is inherently impersonal despite our attempts to make it “feel personal.” An email from Mailchimp addressed to “Dear [FirstName]” is one more opportunity to disengage without any sense of relational loss.
I’m NOT suggesting mass communication tools should never be used. (They should be!) Let’s just not fool ourselves into thinking they are something they’re not.
Was recently introduced to The Morning Brew. I’ve never been a fan of daily newsletters. (I’m a relentless unsubscriber.) But I actually look forward to this one each morning. Concise and thorough.
Definitely recommend giving it a shot: morningbrew.com/daily/r/?kid…
Good systems don’t replace relationships, they support relationships.

I was just on a sales call that lasted (I’m not exaggerating) 3 minutes. Salesman asked me 2 questions which told him everything he needed to know. And he’s emailing me everything I need to know. In 3 minutes, he 3x’d the likelihood of me using his service.

5 truths about Sabbath:
1. Sabbath is not a reward for hard work
2. S. is a reminder that our work will remain incomplete
3. S. is a day that moves us from production to presence
4. S. reminds us that we are not God
5. S. points us to the deeper rest we need found in Christ.
