The verdict means Mr. Thompson will remain under the care & supervision of the CA Department of State Hospitals. Under CA law, individuals found not guilty by reason of insanity may be committed to a state hospital for mental health treatment rather than sentenced to prison.

Mr. Green has been charged with brandishing a firearm, a misdemeanor, carrying a concealed firearm, & carrying a loaded firearm in public, also all misdemeanor charges.

Mr. Walker and Mr. Green are scheduled to be arraigned on 10/14/26 in the Hall of Justice. Our office will move to have Mr. Walker detained pending trial w/o bail due to the public safety risk he poses. Although charges have been filed, this remains an active investigation.

As to the felony grand theft, the jury also found true the allegation that the 3 men worked in concert w/ one another. The next court date is 0/9 for a bench trial on the factor in aggravation related to the felony charges.
