This is a really bad look for the @Eagles and @NFL , as someone who treats high risk Pulmonary Embolisms, the advice to “not sleep” is a new for me. I have MANY questions for the Eagles medical staff & serious concerns for the safety of players on the team.

Late 80s female with NSTEMI, left coronary system is fine. Mid RCA severely calcified & tortuous. What would be your strategy to treat this?! Will share what I did!
7F AR2 guide for more horizontal engagement with better passive backup support ➡️ Runthrough wire with Finecross MC to cross lesion and navigate tortuousity ➡️ IVUS did not cross / severely calcified ➡️ lesion length, tortuousity and possible calcified nodule made me choose OA over RA ➡️ 8 runs at 80rpm antegrade and retrograde ➡️ Wolverine 3.0 crossed with 6F guideliner assist at 20rpm - unsatisfactory balloon expansion ➡️ Shockwave IVL 3.0 - better expansion ➡️ DESx2 overlapping ➡️ IVUS well expanded and apposed with min MSA 5.9-8mm2.

The American Heart Association mourns the passing of the legendary cardiologist Eugene Braunwald, M.D., widely recognized as one of the most influential figures in the history of cardiovascular medicine. Over seven decades, his work reshaped the understanding and treatment of heart disease, leading many to call him the father of modern cardiology.
Braunwald was a lifelong contributor to the American Heart Association, helping advance its research and scientific mission, and was honored with some of the Association’s highest honors for his lasting influence on cardiovascular care and research. His influence extended well beyond his own discoveries, as generations of Association‑supported investigators, clinicians and academic leaders were trained by Braunwald or guided by the clinical trial standards and mentorship models he helped establish.
