We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Rob Burrow CBE - rugby league hero and a tireless campaigner for MND since his diagnosis in 2019. He was and will continue to be an inspiration. Our thoughts are with Rob’s family and friends.
Some really lovely tributes have been left outside the South Stand. Visiting just now and reading some of the messages put a smile on my face on a very sad day. A much-loved man who meant so much to so many 💙

Grateful and privileged to have seen him playing at his peak as I was growing up. He's responsible for so many memories I'll have for life.
What an impact he had off the pitch too. Everything he did following his diagnosis was truly inspirational. An amazing man.
It is with deep sadness that the club can confirm that former player Rob Burrow CBE has passed away, aged 41.
