To all freedom haters: I was born in Lebanon โ€” and born again in the United States. I lived in hell and came to paradise. I was shot 10 times in my legs and knees. A Jewish Lebanese doctor saved me so I could walk again. I was left to die โ€” but in America, Jews and Christians helped me rebuild my life. They wanted me to grow up with hate. I found love instead. I came here with $20 in my pocket. I worked, I struggled, and I succeeded. I built a normal life and a beautiful family. A Christian gave me the opportunity of a lifetime. A Jewish lawyer signed a promissory note so I could buy my first home. A Jewish woman, like a mother to me, brought me a Star of David from Israel โ€” and I still hold it close to my heart. While some wanted me to stay bitter, America gave me dignity. Thatโ€™s why, besides my full-time job, I volunteered for about 15 years as a firefighter and reserve police officer โ€” unpaid โ€” just to say thank you. You can believe whatever you want. But you will never convince me that Americans and Israelis are not good people. I stand with America โ€” with people of all religions and none. NEW: Florida police release a statement after a family claims that police were called on their 3-year-old son because he was "too good" at soccer. Video footage shows a 3-year-old soccer prodigy dominating a group of 5-year-olds in Winter Park, Florida. "They called the police on a three-year-old because he's too good... because he had the ball for too long and nobody else can get the ball so they called the police on him," the family claimed in the video. The Winter Park Police Department has since released a statement saying they were called about a "disturbance" between league officials and the player's parents. "The Winter Park Police Department was contacted by a soccer league official who requested response to a disturbance between league officials and the parents of a player," they said. "The league requested the family leave and offered to refund the league cost to family. Shortly after arrival, the officers were requested by the league official to communicate with the family as he did not want to further a disturbance." "The family stated the game was over and they were leaving. The family was cooperative with the officers and were provided with an event number for the incident at their request." "The incident was a civil matter between those parties and not criminal. No one was arrested, trespassed, or forced to leave the park. The Officers body worn cameras confirm the above information."

Lula packed Brazilโ€™s Supreme Court with his own lawyer and justice minister and had them lock his rival up for 27 years. Back in 2023, after taking power, he named Cristiano Zanin and Flรกvio Dino to the court. In 2025 both voted to convict Jair Bolsonaro of a coup plot and hand him the sentence. That court had previously wiped Lulaโ€™s own corruption convictions in 2021 so he could run again. On election day, Zanin ordered the polls kept open another 2 hours, 3 minutes before they were supposed to close. Both sides had asked, but the call came from Lulaโ€™s former defense lawyer. Even after Bolsonaro was barred and jailed, Lula still trailed Flรกvio 45โ€“47 in the first round and only scraped past him by under 4 points in the runoff. Flรกvio still refuses to concede. Lula called the win a defeat for denialism and lies. Two of the judges who put his rival away were the men he put on the court. Voters barely picked him. The court cleared the path.
