This has been without doubt the toughest week in the @CovidBereaved campaign. My mental health has taken a battering. I’ve had a good cry today and I’m posting a photo of my dog doing yoga to balance out the negativity. #ReluctantCampaigner Have a good week all 🥰

And we can confirm that @WelshGovernment categorically does have the power to call a statutory public inquiry. @scotgov also has the power and they used it by calling a @covidinquirysco. Diolch @AlunTredegar - just wish you’d had the courage to speak up back then. Your one vote would have swung it. Who is this horrible man? He’s trolled @CovidBereaved and me over the years. Now he’s using a whataboutery argument on a £10m inquiry. £10m is tiny in Gov terms. 13k people died horrible needless deaths and families want answers. He’s an expert on everything, you know the sort.

There is a big difference in a statutory and non statutory oath. A non statutory oath is like a professional pinky promise.
@Plaid_Cymru know this! We’re waiting for them to suggest, “on my (insert relative) ‘s life mun. I’m not lying” as a suitable oath. Time to act like a mature @WelshGovernment guys.

We’ve presented @Plaid_Cymru with a model for a statutory inquiry that costs £10m and is delivered in approx 18months.
In a new low, some PC members are defending the proposed “review” as being a money saver. Fact check- It will cost £10m, the same as an inquiry.
£10m sounds like a lot, but in Gov terms, it’s nothing. So why would they waste £10m on yet another toothless review? 🤔
So, a question to PC members: Wales suffered its biggest loss of life ever. An underestimated 13k people died. One West Wales care home lost 26 of its 52 residents in one week. They choked and suffocated as their lungs filled up with no medication available, no oxygen and no end of life care. How much per head are we thinking is reasonable?

He makes a commitment that his Gov will hold a Wales Covid Inquiry in the first term. This was July 2025. Very poor statement from the First Minister. Statutory Powers to compel witnesses is an absolute must in whatever they do to get answers about what happened in Wales during the pandemic
If there's no Statutory Powers, those in charge will not give evidence. It's that simple
