I was also at this retreat and my experience matches this message.
Our "trip" was last Wed and Thu. Here's how I'd describe how I've felt and acted since:
- I feel lighter, more content, and more grateful.
- I feel more patient.
- I feel more present, focused, and less distracted.
- I feel like I've got a lot more love to give.
- It's been easier to say yes to things that serve me, and no to things that don't (i.e. yes to my wife's daily invite to join her for yoga, no to a drink to help me relax).
- It's been easier to put my phone away.
- I've been more proactive in looking for ways to take pressure off my wife, who bears the brunt of keeping our kids alive and our house in order.
- I've been more grateful for the people in my life and made sure they know it.
I'm generally a happy guy. I'm lucky not to suffer from depression or anxiety, but do sometimes experience a slight sense of dissatisfaction and constant focus on growth.
These last few days, I've noticed a shift. I haven't thought much of money, goals, or growth. At the same time, I've been more disciplined in life and at work.
It's very weird, but very cool.
I still remember the conversation @KrissBergTweets and I had about starting Breakthrough. It was 1.5 years ago.
I knew I needed to work on my mind. So, we started Breakthrough and it has been an amazing success

Realized the difference between seller concessions and a reduction in purchase price.
I requested a reduction in purchase price vs concessions.
Reduced the PP by 15k at 6.6% over 30 years=$19,500 in interest for life of loan
Trusted my GM and hired a VERY experienced warehouse manager who is super good at supplier relations and price negotiation.
He has been an unlock I didn't know was there.
