What a privilege it is to be able to run, afford a gym membership, buy healthy food, pay your bills, walk on your own legs, see with your own eyes, think clearly, work every day, and push your body to become stronger. Never take these blessings for granted.

Yes. He knew when to fight and when to show restraint. He also didn’t wish death upon people who disagreed with him, nor was he a pussy.
Jean-Luc Picard remains the single most compelling vision of progressive politics I am familiar with — secular, rational, compassionate, egalitarian; a believer in progress & abundance but also duty, hard work, and a constant battle for self-improvement and improving the world.

I think millennials are having a factory reset. Nobody wants their career. Nobody wants corporate culture. Nobody wants another fucking productivity app. We just want a little house, some hobbies, financial security and to be left the fuck alone. Apparently that’s radical now.

$6 billion on a single laptop. Are we for real fam?
Binance's initial investigation suggests that the security incident may involve a compromised DevOps engineer’s laptop, which allowed an attacker to gain access to a service container and submit unauthorized withdrawal transactions. We have found no evidence of any wallet private key leak. We will share a detailed technical post-mortem once the investigation is complete and the facts are fully verified. The estimated total impact sits at around $6.3B. We have worked with blockchain partners to freeze affected assets, with ~$3 billion frozen on-chain so far. Binance will cover all losses from the SAFU fund and the company’s funds. User funds are safe. We will also publish an updated Proof of Reserves once the remediation is complete. As an immediate precaution, Binance has: - temporarily suspended deposits and withdrawals while security checks are completed; - revoked the affected address authorisation; - engaged law enforcement and blockchain intelligence partners to trace and recover funds. Our teams are working around the clock to resolve this issue safely and thoroughly. We are working closely with our law enforcement partners to confirm the identity of these criminals and bring them to justice. Please rely only on official Binance channels for updates. Please feel free to contact Binance Customer Support if you have any further questions. binance.com/en/support/annou…

Sally Field says Robin Williams shut down filming on Mrs. Doubtfire for the day when he found out her father had just died "I got a call from the doctor that my father had had another massive stroke." "But please lean down and tell him that Sally says goodbye." "I was doing the scene about the kids being taken away from the father. It was what happened to my father." "And Robin turned around and said, that's it for the day, guys. We're just wrapped here. We're done for the day." She went straight from that phone call to a scene about a family getting split up, and she was a child of divorce herself. Nobody on that set knew. Robin just noticed something was off and asked her. Then he did the one thing the guy at the top of the call sheet can always do. He ended the day and walked her out himself. More than thirty years later she still tells it like it happened last week. ft: @people People on youtube

Here is the Anthropic S-1 filing everyone is talking about. sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/… Some interesting surprises: 1. An estimated 5–7% of revenue in the first nine months of 2026 came from customers breaking its usage rules or commercial terms. Anthropic stepped up enforcement in August and September and warns this could slow growth. 2. Models released in the past six months made up over 80% of Q3 revenue, so it depends heavily on staying at the frontier. 3. Customers are less concentrated than before. No single customer reached 10% of revenue in the first nine months of 2026, and the top five made up about 25%. In 2023, one customer was 43%.

Sylvester Stallone says that having his daughter in a major role in ‘TULSA KING’ Season 4 is absolutely nepotism. “First they go, ‘Nepotism is terrible. I said, ‘Oh please, you’re not a good parent if you haven’t performed a little nepotism.' Then obviously you don’t care about your kids, because they come first. Of course it’s nepotism, you idiot. That’s why we’re parents. We want the best for our children. So obviously, we let them have every advantage.” (Source: usatoday.com/story/entertain…)

Here's me at the Eagle's Nest in 2014. I feel lucky to have seen this marvel then, and I'm saddened by the news that it was burned to the ground this week. The location inspired three chapters of my upcoming novel, so much so that Berchtesgaden and the surrounding region are home to its characters. It is one of Earth's truly beautiful places and I would go back in a heartbeat. I feel for the people of the area who thoughtfully remained custodians of its delicate history and will be reeling from the sudden loss of tourism. Glad to hear it's set to be rebuilt.
