There is some fuckery here and we need to know who it is!
We’re doing a recon together this year.

I used to think it’s rude to hang up on telemarketers but then it hit me. It’s not rude to hang up on people who have your number without your consent – at Sandton, South Africa

Emotionally mature partners are secure. When they hear they've hurt someone or that they've made a mistake they do the following:
1. Apologize
2. Own the responsibility
3. Make corrective behavior changes

having to beg someone to do something with you and then seeing them do it with others willingly is a different kind of hurt

The scene in Lahaina, Maui this morning is absolutely devastating.
The entire town is being destroyed by an intense wildfire, forcing residents to sheek shelter in the ocean.
Make no mistake, climate change is making scenes like this more frequent.

The progress China has made in renewable energy just THIS YEAR makes the entire rest of the world look like it's standing still.
I wrote in December that to call China the "world leader in renewable energy" was a colossal understatement.
That’s even more true today.

Mbuso Moloi‘s lawyer argues he’s a “morally upright” person whose only crime was looting a Woolworths.
He said Moloi had lost the car he put the loot in, was recognised everywhere as the “Woolies looter” and needed therapy.
Moloi should be fined R15k for the looting, he says.
The Durban Regional Court has heard that the so-called "Woolworths looter" lost a job in the United Kingdom after he was caught on viral video footage looting a Woolies outlet during the July 2021 civil unrest. | @NkoRaphael

This is such a devasatating loss, for the country and a generation of kids, like me, who grew up worshipping Eusebius. I first met him in 1996. He was the deputy-head boy of my school, Graeme College. I was nine years old, in standard 2. He was my hero.

According to the Bible:
1. Satan is the most potent force of evil in the world.
2. God wants good, not evil, in the world.
3. God is more powerful than Satan.
Yet, according to the Bible, God chooses to allow Satan to remain at work in the world until the end of time.
I struggled to understand why an all-powerful, righteous God would permit a being like Satan to exist for even one day?
Then I had a light bulb moment.
Every superhero needs a villain, and taking the villain out too soon ruins the storyline.
It’s a story with characters, and it needs unresolved conflicts to keep the reader engaged until the end when the hero wins.

Being empathetic towards a child’s emotional state will NEVER spoil them.
When we hold space for their emotions, we teach them empathy, compassion & responsiveness.
Insensitivity & apathy are all learned behaviors from people who were not given space to process their emotions.

Been thinking about what losing verified status means. I got my blue check at the start of the pandemic bc of of articles I wrote calling attention to racial health inequities. A nurse once tweeted that her patient decided to get vaxxed bc he trusted me. Misinfo will flourish.
On April 1st, we will begin winding down our legacy verified program and removing legacy verified checkmarks. To keep your blue checkmark on Twitter, individuals can sign up for Twitter Blue here: teapawt.org/i/twitter_blue_s…
Organizations can sign up for Verified Organizations here: teapawt.org/i/en/verifiedorg…
