One of the fall back defenses people have made about @VivekGRamaswamy's ad attacking Acton is that Acton's mother just said she lied about living in a tent.
Cledith Arthur's 1978 arrest warrant lists Terrace Lake Park, Route 7 as his address
And again, it’s an ad containing a mother who protected her child rapist husband over her child who was raped. She calls Amy a liar, despite the fact that she hasn’t talked to her since she was 12 years old. The sitting VP of the USA defending this decision is probably not WWJD.
Vance: "And now the media and the Democrats in the state of Ohio are obsessed because, guess what? Vivek Ramaswamy had the audacity to run a TV commercial which calls it out like it is and calls Amy Acton a liar."

Court records and 1978 reports confirm Amy Acton's stepfather was arrested and charged with raping her at age 12; he fled Ohio before trial and was declared a fugitive. Her brother has corroborated the events. Vivek and Vance are siding with abusers over a victim.

When I worked Hospice, I was astounded at the amount of women who were no contact with their kid(s) because they had allowed them to be molested.
They would openly admit it - then blame their now adult children for not understanding.
Just an abject failure of motherhood.
BOMBSHELL:
Ohio Democratic gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton’s own mother urges voters not to vote for her daughter.
“My name is Donna Arthur and I’m Amy Acton’s mother. I worked at Children and Family Service Association, building one of the first two sexual abuse programs in America.
I love my daughter, but when I saw her lying about her opponent—and it’s not easy for a mother to say this—but Amy has a serious problem.
She is a liar. She lies about her past. She says she grew up living in a tent. None of that is true. She’s lied her entire life.
My daughter needs help, and she can’t help you if she needs help herself. People can change, but first they have to tell the truth, and my daughter still isn’t doing that.
Don’t vote for people who lie. Don’t let her become your governor. If you think she’ll make your life better, you’re fooling yourself. It will only get worse.”
That’s one hell of an October surprise.

Acton's mother lost custody of her children after years of documented issues, including time spent living in a tent and a spouse who sexually abused her daughter Amy (Acton). Amy Acton's brother has also confirmed this story.

Let’s be clear. Vivek produced an ad platforming Amy Acton’s mother—the same mother who stood by Amy’s rapist (Amy’s mother’s second husband) and has not spoken to her since fleeing with this pedophile fugitive when he was arrested, convicted by a grand jury and standing trial.

Oh, and Amy was 10-12 years old when all of this was happening. A CHILD.
So he’s platforming a mom that abandoned her child after she had been sexually abused, who hasn’t spoken to said child since she was 12, and is now calling her a liar?! Based on what? On her reporting rape?

Ohio’s own Legislative Service Commission reports that only 24% of first-time EdChoice Expansion recipients in FY25 attended public school the year before.
You can’t claim “savings” by subtracting a voucher from average public-school spending, especially when the student wasn’t attending public school to begin with 🤔
Making TAXPAYERS pick up an existing private tuition bill is a NEW public expense. Your subtraction skips that part. 🤡

Replying to @JessicaEMiranda
If a public school would receive $10,000 per student (making up a number, no clue what it is) and the expanded Ed Choice scholarship amount is $5,000 then that saves the state $5,000.
The expanded scholarship amount is income based and is not intended to cover the full tuition.
