The entire Satmar community joins in celebrating a truly historic moment for Brooklyn, for New York, and for the entire United States.
With great pride and joy, we extend our warmest congratulations to our dear and esteemed friend, Congressman Hakeem Jeffries, @RepJeffries , on becoming the next Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives!
This is not just a political victory - this is a Brooklyn victory.
For years, Congressman Jeffries has been more than just a representative. He has been a true friend.
When the Satmar community needed someone to listen, he listened. When we needed someone to stand with us, he stood with us.
And he has always been there for the Grand Rabbi, with deep respect, with an open door, and with a true understanding of our community, our values, and our way of life.
He has built bridges. He has brought people together. He has shown what true leadership looks like - leadership with dignity, with strength, and with kindness.
Tonight, as he makes history, we say with full hearts: Mazel Tov!
Mazel Tov to Congressman Jeffries, to his family, to his team, and to all of Brooklyn!

Rabbi Shimon Shisha Shlita, Head of the Rescue Division at Merkaz Ezra V'Eitzah of the Eidah Hachareidis, for saving Bochurim in Eretz Yisroel from the Gezeiras HaGiyus - who is currently in America fundraising to support the Merkaz's offices, was received with great honor at the holy residence of the Grand Rabbi, together with Askanim of Merkaz Ezra V'Eitzah from America.

He built the entire Satmar community - which today leads the Jewish world - from nothing after the Holocaust, and spent his final years in the village he built, @KiryasJoel .
