The last time Nevada had an NPV bill, the sponsor pulled it early in session for lack of support.
The last time Ds controlled Michigan, they didn't pass NPV.
The last time Ds controlled Nevada, the Gov vetoed NPV.
The last time Ds controlled Wisconsin, they didn't pass NPV.
Many Ds know NPV is dumb and dangerous.

Ranked-choice voting is proving right now just how destructive it is in Alaska.
We were able to stop National Popular Vote in Michigan when democrats held a governing trifecta back in 2023.
Democrats may push a compact that would award electoral votes to the winner of the national popular vote. usatoday.com/story/news/poli…
“A 2023 bill in Michigan’s legislature failed to pass. @harryrothbaron, director of the opposition group Save Our States, criticized more recent bills in the Detroit News, part of the USA TODAY Network, in part because they allow that "a candidate rejected by Michigan voters could still receive Michigan's electoral votes.”
Voter ID ballot measures passed in Nevada, North Carolina, and Ohio this week.
Citizen-only voting measures also passed in Alaska, Arkansas, Kansas, West Virginia, and South Dakota.
Election integrity is alive and well in the states.

For years I have spoken out against the unconstitutional “National Popular Vote Compact,” and now it is finally within reach for the radical left Democrats who want to dismantle our Constitution. I killed this when I was Speaker of the House and they tried to pass it here in Oklahoma. But now the Blue Wave has washed in new Democrat majorities in enough states to reach 283 electoral votes.
Friends, this issue is now a very real threat. If you don’t want all the illegals voting in California and New York (and Texas!) to determine our next President, then we have to organize and defeat this unconstitutional plan.
Even voters in deep-blue Massachusetts rejected top-two primaries at the ballot box.
The Oklahoma legislature would be wise to stay far away.

People know court packing is a bright line in the sand between us and permanent leftist tyranny. But a sleeper issue of near magnitude is the destruction of the electoral college by the longstanding Democratic effort to get states to sign onto a compact that pledges their electoral votes to the national popular vote winner. If this compact moves from deep blue state legislatures states into some of the swing and even red states Dems won this time around, it’s game over for Republicans in situations like 2016, where the popular vote splits from the Electoral College totals. Worse, it’ll encourage blue states to “run up the score” by throwing the doors open completely to eg illegals, homeless to legally vote. Every vote will run up the total in a meaningful way that will transform national elections, as opposed to just making California more blue. It’ll turbocharge voting fraud beyond anything we’ve seen so far.
Republicans MUST hold the line against this.
It is structural party suicide and a short trip to one-party rule.

700,000 MORE Ohioans voted to make voter ID permanent than voted for @Russo4Ohio.
But here is Ohio’s new Secretary of State INVITING liberal allies to sue her so she can dismantle a safeguard with more voter support than she has.

The Electoral College gives residents of small states like New Hampshire and Nevada a reason to vote.

Correct.
Voters want lower gas prices, not an end to the republic.
Americans voiced their frustrations this past Tuesday, but they didn’t vote to dismantle our entire system of government.
Attempting to pack the Supreme Court or abolish the Electoral College via the National Popular Vote will trigger a massive backlash.

Only if the states join the National Popular Vote, and only if it survives court challenges.

The Electoral College forces presidential candidates to reach out to Americans in rural, suburban, and urban areas.
It's good for both parties and the whole country. 🇺🇸

Some Democrats understand the dangers of the National Popular Vote interstate compact (NPV).
It's an illegitimate and dangerous attempt by some blue states to manipulate the Electoral College. It should not pass, but if it does, the courts should strike it down.
